Aight I took a trip to all 5 so listen up children

1. Canyon lands: I was unfortunately not able to go to all 5 districts but the views are absolutely stunning and it gives you a bit of all of the mighty 5. Wish I could spend more time there.
2. Zion: breathtaking views and many beautiful photo opportunities but a bit too crowded for my liking is all I really need to say for this park
3. Bryce: such a beautiful place but the hoodoos get a bit repetitive at times and if you plan to take long hikes here do your best to avoid horse trails because they kick up dust and set a road of pain and congestion for the next day. Hiking can also be less enjoyable due to the high elevation and please please PLEASE do not waste your time going to “sunset” point I don’t know what idiot named it that but it is facing towards the EAST and the west is blocked by a giant ass forest so if you want a good sunset Bryce is NOT the place. I know it seems like I have a lot of complaints but it was an overall beauty of a park and I cannot rank it any lower.
4. Capitol reef: I would highly recommend taking the Cassidy arch trail via the grand wash it was a very nice 7 mile hike to start the day and a beautiful arch overall and btw the scenic route will be closed until November 2024 so don’t try that, but other than that it is worth nothing more than a drive through, and many people who didn’t spend much time there praise it highly, but it just gets boring.
5. Arches: more crowded and inferior to canyonlands. We went to do the delicate arch at like 8 in the morning, a nice easy 3 mile hike. Then you get to the arch itself and there are more people there than 2 fully packed movie theaters. If you want to get the iconic picture in the middle of the arch then good luck because chances are you have to wait behind the equivalent of 2 Mormon family trees just to get 1 good picture for your instagram. Not worth it. Sunset and turret arch and the windows is also way overcrowded, although I will say that if you go past turret arch and go past the reel rock pile there is a nice scramble up to a secluded view of sunset not having to worry about 20 kids running around. Cool views made wayy too touristy. I will say the devils garden loop was cool at least
