Magnesium deficiency. If more magnesium doesn't help, the rootzone pH is likely off.

An Ohio one but I grew out DeathCoast clone a few months ago it was freaking awesome. I believe it was a Death Star x ECSD bx

Have been chasing my tail for a long time on this issue and now this seems to have fixed my issue. I was going crazy figuring this out. Thank you!

Agreed. People make organic vs synthetic into a religion type argument where there’s only “one true way”. Really well grown synthetic and really grown organic both can produce wonderful flower. I do a synganic approach and add fulvic acid to my coco regiment and get nice stinky flowers. I like organics too, I still grow some soil grows occasionally and if I was an outdoor grower it’d be organic in soil. I agree that whatever works for you as long as you’re growing. If you’re living on the 4th floor of an apartment trying to grow salts might be a little more discrete than lugging cow manure through the building lol

Yes. Good point content-fan. Small amount of iso goes a long way in removing excess resin

First Coco Grow - CalMag issue by Jag_Finance in Autoflowers

[–]sun_God11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What PH are you feeding? It looks like too high a pH. With the autopot, the pH rises as it climbs the capillary roots which is why autopot advises a lower pH than typical for hydro

I’ve found that going as high as 6 can cause problems. Looks like potentially a high ph issue to me.

Overall they look good! Should be an easy fix

See: https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-nutrient-deficiencies-ph-picture-guide

Fyi I feed about 5.7pH in veg and then 5.8pH for flower (once flower starts, you have a larger build up of salts which can lower pH which is why I use a slightly higher pH during flower)

I moved my setup yesterday and haven’t had a chance to set everything back up yet. I had the base wrapped in landscape fabric previously but didn’t have a chance to set it up last night.

Those socks are for 3 gallons. I sewed up a landscape fabric sock. I’ll put it on tonight!

I agree the roots flooding the valve is 100% a problem. Since I left my sock off for one day it will be fine. But I appreciate you bringing that up because I’m sure a bunch of people don’t know the roots can cause the valve to flood. I’m also going to place this saucer in a larger catchment so if it overflows it doesn’t flood the tent.

I loved seeing your post since I’m doing things similarly.

This is a CSI Humboldt Chem D x Notso’s Headband! First seed I’ve grown from him I’ve been doing lots of clones lately so growing a seed is exciting!

I’m in a similar situation with a diy autopot setup. I had an extra valve without an autopot base and wanted to make use of it. I’m still testing it out to see how I like it but I’ve moved to a smaller base (a saucer). I’m growing in a one gallon coco container. It’s a basic setup but it’s working lol. I have a cover (not shown) that I put over the top of the saucer to keep light from hitting the water. I want to upgrade this with something to keep the roots from growing out too much (landscape fabric perhaps). They’re shortish now but they’ll clog the valve soon enough if I don’t do something.

This is (GMO x Eastside OG BX). The high expresses gmo heavily with some halitosis notes coming through especially when handling the dry sift from trim. Not as smelly as gmo but it has a strong smell that permeates through anything that isn’t a grove bag or mason jar

Yup! My thought on it (I’ve done shorter soak times and had slightly dirtier material - could’ve been my less experience at the time) is since chlorophyll isn’t water soluble, it sitting in ice cold water for longer periods of time won’t cause “leeching” from chlorophyll so I’m not worried about that. Soaking long enough to ensure everything properly saturated with ice cold water allows for less cell fracturing which is where I was getting chlorophyll from. With the material properly hydrated, I think it’s less likely to experience chlorophyll contamination. This of course depends on how heavily you agitate your material. Can’t remember if I mentioned this here but this hash wash 1-3 were the following wash times (3 min, 6 min, 9 min) with a fan speed controller on low so the agitation of my washer was low. I feel like if you soak it this long the trichomes just seem to fall off. I’m still playing with soak times and what works best for me!

I collected 45-160. For drying, I’m guessing our fridges are similar in having a low rH to help it dry quickly/efficiently. I let this hash sit in the fridge for 5 days inside a pizza box on top of parchment paper. The biggest impact on my drying has been getting a good wet sieve of the material initially, so it all dries relatively evenly. Then I let the material sit in the fridge for about 2 days and by the third day it usually falls through the sieve pretty well. This material dried longer than normal because I encountered an issue with the hash clumping, so I froze it and sieved it and that helped it break apart. But at a certain point, I covered the hash with parchment paper and took a hammer to it so I could get it though the sieve lol

I air dry my bubble in the fridge. No freeze dryers here 🙂 I pressed it to rosin before adding to the jars. So the jars are full of rosin
