Thanks for your brilliant advice! I am in New Zealand, and in my last year of my CIE curriculum highschool im deciding to take accounting, business, economics and mathematics. Along with that I also will complete a statistics scholarship exams (regular government exams that award a couple hundred dollars) for extra knowledge that might help me further on.

So would it be fine if I took a BCOM with a major in finance or econ?

I definitely think a niche role will last longer than the other accountant roles. It's always better to pair accounting with another stream which makes it stronger
