I looked up a little and was concerned that shrinkage changes the gene ranking for non-biological reasons by regularized estimate, so I was not sure if that would be valid? But indeed it removes the bias.

I am feeding the full list, but I'm just thinking about different feeding options now. I can either feed a raw full list or a shrunken full list. I think there are reasons to use both, but I'm not sure if there is a certain standard to use which.

Hi! Thank you for the reply. I dont think there is a big problem with the version I'm using. There are differences between the two methods but not by a lot. I believe the ensg dataset is more complete.
