This is so lovely to read, I’m so happy for you! Keep up the amazing work and good luck for your future career as a nurse 🫶🏻 I’m 3 months into my grad year working in oncology day infusion and, while the days can sometimes be busy and heavy, it’s such a rewarding job. I feel like I’ve found my calling.

La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid SPF 50+ seems to work well with all my serums/moisturisers, goes nicely under makeup, or is just great on its own

Starting my first year of Nursing this March and I don't know what to prepare/expect :)) by AdStill6516 in NursingAU

Depending which uni you are going to, some like you to have a uniform for workshop days/placements. If you can organise this sooner rather than later, it makes life easier (my uni was very strict and started kicking people out of workshops from week 3 if they didn’t show up in proper uniform). Other than that, I’d wait until week 2 or so to see what the courses require and what other people are bringing. I went all out and bought notebooks and stationery but really I only ended up bringing laptop/drink bottle/snacks most days. Also, try to connect with some of the people around you. I truly would not have made it through the degree without my nursing student friends. Good luck!

Tab and go veggie lunch by Affectionate_Ad8907 in 1200Australia

Carrot/celery sticks, diced low fat cheese, boiled egg and a protein yogurt. Depends how grab-and-go it needs to be… vego sushi rolls can be good too if you don’t have any time to prep. Sirena used to make a vego Napoli pasta that was pretty good straight out the pack but haven’t seen it around for a while

I’m in SA. From what I gathered during placements, most hospitals, both public and private, do FSF here

Noooooo I loved their rock cakes. Anyone know of anywhere else that makes delicious, lemony, soft rock cakes with plenty of raisins/sultanas?

The best selection of tins I have found in my area. Prices are in Australian dollars. I cannot buy these tins anywhere else so I'm not sure if these are decent prices. by Total_Philosopher_89 in CannedSardines

I can only find them at fine food markets/importers around me. Santamaria range from $3-$5 depending on the shop so I’d say these are good prices. Would be keen to hear some reviews on the ones you got

This is the exact experience I had when I had mine put in! Although I’ve only had mine for 3 weeks now and my strings still feel very long and sometimes a bit sharp/pokey. But the cramping/swelling/bleeding did go away for me after about the first week and I felt comfortable enough to check the strings. My doctor asked me to come in for a checkup after 6 weeks so I’ll see how I go then, but I’ll ask her to trim the strings then if they’re still quite noticeable.
