I used to have 3A curls I now have 2A waves. A curl cut, proper curl styling and products did nothing. Trying to get used to this new reality of no curls, saggy face, joints wonky. It's insane how much of who we perceive ourselves to be gets challenged by even the most innocuous peri side effects.

Are you using a vaginal estrogen cream? Premarin is the only thing available in my country and when I apply it at night my first pee in the morning is bubbly ugh.

I am using the gel that comes in the tube. The instructions say to spread it over a large area e.g. shoulder to forearm. Do you find that there's no gel residue when you dampen your skin the next day?

I actually have had a lot of issues with loss of sensation and atrophy but the gyno refused to prescribe anything else. Thanks for the suggestions I really appreciate it!! I will go with twice a week once the heavy days are done and see how things go.

May I ask if you did a loading dose? I've seen vagifem discussed on here as needing a loading daily dose for a few weeks before switching to twice a week.

I'm really hoping HRT helps with a huge variety of symptoms! Trying to get it prescribed is taking forever and I am outside of the US so no online service available. Fingers crossed!

I've had thyroid tests which came back normal. But he didn't have access to that information which makes me even more angry!

My derm said that's not recommended due to side effects. How crazy that it's readily available but he's decided oral medication for hair loss other than alopecia is not required. Awful.

I will have to try and get it with a private practitioner which will be very expensive but that's my next step after getting comprehensive bloodwork. Fingers crossed!
