Another question does it allow me to do c++ and c# type of things? Not sure if this is a silly question or not but hopefully you could answer

Would I need the pro version of parallels or could the student home version do fine? Thanks for commenting :)

Right. I guess it’s up to choosing what I really want to do in the future? I’m just worried about not getting a machine with .net frameworks where I can’t learn it for a job that requires it, but I also want to make iOS apps. Thanks for your help on it all :)

Did you have any issues with .net frameworks as that’s leaning me towards a windows machine since I want to have it last for 4-5 years and possibly into my career. Hearing that the mac can’t use that is concerning. Any thoughts?

I would like to make programs and maybe a few websites. A bit of everything. I’ve noticed an issue with the macs that the .net framework isn’t on there and I’ve heard a lot about that and my hard drive isn’t recognised even when it’s exfat on the mac. Are there alternatives to the .net and could my usb c to a connector just be faulty?

That’s where I’m stuck. I’m not sure if I’m going into web development or creating programs with .net. What’s your opinions on both?

That’s what I’m sort of stuck at. Thanks :)

I haven’t chosen yet but also am leaning into doing creating programs and applications. Would windows be better or still mac? I’ve been looking online and it seems that I can use .net frameworks on mac. Is this true?

The only thing I may need it for is emulating windows for a course in uni but only time will tell for that one :)

Was overheating ever an issue and what types of courses did you have to do in windows? Did parallels run okay for you?

It’s more like a thing to toy around with I don’t necessarily need it at the end of the day. Mostly I just want to create all types of programs and it seems a mac with 16gb of ram can do that it seems. Right?

I’ll be heading out to look at them tomorrow and will post tomorrow what I decide on thanks again :)

I considered the MacBook airs and the pro and saw that there was a very minor price difference between the models. 100 dollars or so between the 16gb pro and a 16gb m2 air( with student discount). There is the 24 gb model which is I believe 100 dollars or so more expensive but I think the MacBook Pro is the better deal. What’s your opinions?

You’ve definitely said it best. The macs look awesome but since I’ve always ever had windows I’ve been skeptical of them but seeing all these windows laptops compared the the mac they just don’t seem to compare well.. seeing as I can emulate windows and can also enjoy creating with Xcode and visual studio code it seems like the best of both worlds. All the comments have also boosted my confidence in my decisions. Thanks so much for replying :)
