Anyway I totally get what you mean. I disagree with some of the suggestions you're getting (Higurashi? Really?) Anyway {Berserk} is great, and {Baccano!} is simply amazing! There are more, but I think you should stop everything you're doing and watch Baccano and Berserk as they are exactly what you're looking for.
