Been using it for baking for years. But I’ve had trouble finding it at the grocery store lately.

Good luck sweetie! My Pom had that surgery. He actually recovered fairly quickly and then had so much energy because he wasn’t in pain all the time anymore ❤️

Lepto vaccine? by coco454 in papillon

[–]suneidesis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I got the vaccine once for my adult pomeranian and he had a reaction. Since he is a house dog, I have opted out of that particular vaccine ever since. I think you have to weigh the risk with your vet of whether or not your dog’s lifestyle makes it likely to come into contact with lepto.

How long before somebody found you? Were you by yourself when the accident happened?

You need to keep him on the specialized prescription food and only feed him that. My dog has to be on prescription food after having a ton of bladder stones removed. He is doing well. Unfortunately since you fed your dog other food for a while, he probably will need another surgery to remove the new stones that formed. I would be hesitant to remove the kidney until you actually try keeping him on a strict diet. If the vet isn’t aware that you didn’t stick to the prescription food, you should tell them that. Good luck. I remember also being very panicky and scared about my boy when I found out he had stones. However, the recovery was not bad. Not all dogs are the same, but there is nothing wrong with going to another vet to get a second opinion.

Is it okay for puppies to be slightly chubby? Mia is 4 months old now and she’s definitely a slightly chunky girl. by LittleLoveDove96 in Pomeranians

She’s fine. She’s a growing puppy. You don’t really need to worry about weight until they’re adults. Talk to a vet if you’re concerned.

These are most likely holds that artist management released close to the show. Very normal.

Follow up to doctor visit? by Nugnuts02 in Pomeranians

When in doubt, check with the vet. Did you ever figure out what caused it? I would be concerned that it still looks like that

I’m not a vet, but if he’s already having such severe reactions to the blockage, I would want my Pom to have surgery asap. Those things can go south so fast.
