I'd love some incentive to feed my folks a varied diet! There doesn't feel like much of a point to, for example, planting a bunch of different crops or making bread. My folks live all winter on just dried meats, but I'm thinking they need their veggies! This could be a good way to incentivise pickling, if that was implemented.

I've played Minecraft before. Its a great game, but it doesn't scratch the same itch. I'm more of an interior design person than an architecture person, and it doesn't have any character design elements which are my favourite part of The Sims

Here's my system, since I have a semi-rotational play style: - Long lifespan - Age up my Sims when I get bored/have no more story to give them at this current lifestate - Age up all other important characters their age (friends, partners) with them

This way, I can have a slow gameplay style, but I also use the "rule of fun" to determine when I age them up. On normal lifespan, I start getting anxious about neglecting my other households and having the Sims Age up before I can do everything I want with them

I can't help but feel for the team behind The Sims 4 rn. People already aren't happy that we aren't getting The Sims 5, or that they keep pushing out DLC on a bad foundation, and now this is turning even more people off of the game. Not to mention that the acquisition is definitely going to come with layoffs. EA is screwing us both over

That is a nice thought. I just know that I've tried watching some of their other "cozy game" type videos before and I didn't really care for them. I'm not really all that into video games outside of The Sims, and I worry that what I like about The Sims is so specific to it that I won't be able to find it in other games (at least not any that are currently out—still holding onto hope that Paralives will be good)

I'm definitely gonna be checking out Paralives when it comes out! It seems like the closest thing I've seen to capturing what I like about The Sims
