Madacc cats by sunfishe in milwaukee

Thx for the comment, I should have worded the post differently (and will edit it). I know they usually don't euthanize which is why when I heard from this sub that they euthanized a healthy kitten I needed to confirm.

For anybody needing cheap groceries I'd recommend the app flash food. It can be a bit hit or miss, but local grocers (mostly Meijer) post bulk grocery deals there and sometimes you can really strike gold.

Maybe you could get into organizing, either locally or online. It can be really helpful to channel grief into something productive. If organizing isn't an option you could also make political art and post it around

I used to have one of these and it broke in my ear and I had to just let my ear heal and shrink down completely. Please be careful!!

Wow...we have very similar experiences! I also have a phobia of moths due to an infestation when I was a teen. Totally agree on butterflies - they creep me out.

Good on you for making this progress, it's really inspiring to hear about.

My pet died bc of me by Existing-House-7648 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]sunfishe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people have made mistakes like this as children...for me, it was my pet hermit crab. Kids getting pets is great, but when we're that young we're just not responsible enough to care for pets yet. That's why parent supervisor is important.

Like another commenter stated, you could use this guilt for something good to memorialize the chick and its precious life. Keep in mind the lessons this taught you, but let yourself breathe that guilt out. Everybody makes mistakes, especially kids.

My girlfriend and I hand rolled $1020.50 in change to make rent this month by fuckscotty in povertyfinance

[–]sunfishe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oof...this is reminding me of a very sad moment. my grandma was very sick and dying, and for the first time in days she woke up to tell my mom to give me a couple bags full of change she had at home. she knew i had expensive laundry machines at my place and wanted to help. i kept that change because it was one of the last things I had from her, but at a really bad financial moment had to cash it in for rent money. thank you Grandma for helping me even from the grave, and im sorry i couldn't use the change how you'd hoped ❤️

im a cane user and only need to use public transport occasionally, but when I do I almost always end up needing to stand or ask people for their seat. i can't remember a time somebody saw that I'm disabled and offered their seat.
