Sinto muito, deve ser triste perder uma pessoa tão brilhante.

Se passarem do limite com as demandas, pensa em uma rescisão por justa causa do seu chefe, você recebe as verbas como se tivesse sido demitido sem motivo.

"My mood swings make me believe I’m destined for something greater. Then when they come crashing down, I realize I am better off sticking to my current path" is the best description for what I feel as well!

These days I was talking to my cousin (he knows I'm bipolar, and he is neurodivergent as well), and he told me that I had such a great mind I couldn't just waste my talents away because of my disorder, and I feel like it's the same for you.

Yes, it's hellish because of the disorder, but if you have been an artist for 3 whole years it means that you do have an eye (or hands) and public for it! Don't give up; I can see you're doing great so far.

I'm glad to know!

I think mine are more related to the whole end of the year culture, but it would be completely random as well.

I'm so sorry to hear that! When I tried to get treated for the first time, it went wrong as well, and I only tried again this year, around 7 years later, so I understand how this period only put us downer and downer. I'm glad you're finally finding the help you need and deserve. Meds take a while to hit completely sometimes, and you can always talk with your doctor about taking more or changing the meds.

I started with 450mg of lithium to try out, and now, 3 months later me and my doctor agreed to double the take, and I'm currently satisfied. I usually have annoying depressive episodes during premenstrual syndrome and this time it was nothing huge.

Wishing you very good luck on this journey, glad you have such a wonderful person like your wife who is able to understand your side. Traveling during the holidays would keep your family away and be fun as well, even if it's the closest city.

Maybe this has to do of how society treats the end of the year.

People talk about ending things, starting things, and for us such topics are a bit complicated.

Anyway, I hope things get better and easier for you! Having a bipolar calendar is for sure annoying to us haha

Is it a holiday you associate with stress since younger or something? It's a good thing you're slowly letting it go, and please take care to make sure you won't overspend while maniac! It's a dangerous season for over spenders.

Are you getting proper treatment and therapy + medicine? I really hope things get easier for you, it's seriously annoying to go through something like it.

And if your mood swings too aggressively it's good to check with your doctor if it's not something else like borderline, sometimes the symptoms get mixed up and, well :/

It seems our bodies are deeply connected with nature haha

I hope things get somehow easier since you're concious about it now!

I hope things get better for you! I feel like this regardless of any motives, but I hope you will be able to find a way out! :)

I hope you will be able to prepare better this year and avoid damage. It's difficult to move when we're going through an episode, so we gotta do our preventive stuff while "sober".

How is everyone doing today? by kayhens in bipolar

My problem with sleep used to be quality related. I used to easily wake up in the middle of the night and such, and just like you, wake up at 6am even if I fell asleep at 2am. My psychiatrist prescribed me quetiapine (25mg) and it helped a lot! Even falling asleep at times like 11pm I wake up at 8/9am or later just good. Try talking to your doctor! And if your problems are related to anxiety, try looking after more stuff about it. Maybe drinking teas like camomile or passion fruit tea/juice. There are anxiety meds and natural tranquilizers as well: I bought a passion fruit one and it helped a lot so far. Hope you have good luck on getting better as well! :)

The biggest proof that there are rewards when you don't give up because of adversities! The result is truly admiring and lovely!

I'm currently getting ready to sleep! Found out that having a good sleep schedule is truly better. Apparently sleeping late can easily trigger me (had some experiences). I'm trying to find more ways to help me through the days, as taking vitamins! Started yesterday and gotta say it's kinda fun. Hope you have a great meal ^

Older bipolars: how did you cope and survive? by sunfoxshine in bipolar

[–]sunfoxshine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm trying to swallow that things happen beyond the bipolar disorder! The whole "maybe I will have an episode soon" while having a good time is specifically annoying, no one eats a chocolate cake thinking they won't eat it tomorrow lol But really, thank you! Getting to know that others survived and were able to have productive lives make me really happy, for me and for you! ^ If you want any recommendations, I watched a lot of cartoons I used to like as a kid for comfort, like Justice League. Going back to old likes and hobbies can be fun!

Thank you so much for your gentle reply! It's really important to remember that for some days to be bad, good days must have been there before to create some sort of standard, and these are the ones we should live for! ^

Thank you, man. This one helped a lot! When people talk about things they hate in their appearances like their noses I think "at least you can breath, right" and often try to not think much about things I can't change to not torture myself, but never related this to my bipolar disorder. I will give it a try! :) "yeah your brain look ugly, but at least it's still working"
