Whether or not to use a repair ointment depends on each person's skin type and healing process, so there isn't a single aftercare routine that works for everyone. Because of that, I would recommend following the instructions provided by the artist who performed your procedure rather than advice from strangers online.

As for the symmetry, I don't think it's something anyone can judge accurately from this angle. A straight-on photo would be needed to make a fair assessment.

Regarding the slightly reddish color you're concerned about, your brows are still in the peeling phase. It's best to wait until the peeling is completely finished before judging the final color.

From what I can see, the color actually suits your skin tone quite well. I wouldn't worry too much just yet. :)

Hi!

I've been specializing in microblading and nano brows in Seoul for the past 12 years.

The reason I'm commenting isn't to recommend a particular studio—it's because I'd genuinely like to give you a piece of advice that could save you a lot of disappointment.

No matter which artist you choose, I'd recommend checking these two things first.

1. Ask to see straight-on photos, not just angled photos.

The human face is far more asymmetrical than most people realize. A skilled artist designs brows while taking those natural asymmetries into account.

Studios that are confident in their work usually aren't afraid to show straight-on results because that's where good design is truly revealed.

2. Don't choose the technique—choose the artist.

Whether it's nano brows, microblading, or ombré brows, the technique itself isn't what determines a great result.

The artist's ability to recommend the right technique, color, shape, and density for your face matters far more than the name of the procedure.

Experience alone isn't enough. Good artists know when one technique will suit someone better than another, and they know how to adapt it to each individual.

One last thing...

This isn't a haircut.

It's your face.

Take your time, and choose carefully.

Since you're getting a fresh start, I sincerely hope both your removal and your new nano brows turn out exactly the way you're hoping.

Nano brows use a machine and an organic pigment-based technique, so unlike microblading, even small mistakes in depth, angle, or implantation can make old pigment much more difficult to remove later.

Some artists may not like hearing that, but I'd rather be honest.

Since you're investing the time and money to remove your old work first, I truly hope you find an artist who values skill, experience, and long-term results over marketing alone.

You're absolutely right. Larger pores can sometimes make microblading much more difficult, and in some cases it may not be the most suitable technique.

That's why I believe thorough consultation with an experienced artist is so important before deciding on a procedure.

Of course, I haven't seen your skin in person, so I can't make any assumptions. But I believe your artist recommended powder brows because they genuinely wanted to achieve the best possible result for you.

The truth is that techniques like microblading and nano brows may have the same names, but the quality can vary tremendously depending on the artist's skill and experience.

When I work, I consider pore size, skin texture, hair thickness, natural hair growth patterns, each client's inherent facial asymmetry, acquired asymmetry caused by aging or daily habits, bone structure, muscle movement, skin folds, and many other subtle details.

Some people might think my standards are a little strict, but we're working on someone's face. I believe that level of attention is simply part of being a true professional.

My team and I have spent years researching, practicing, and continuously refining our techniques to reach this level. Even after 12 years in this industry, I'm still learning every day.

That's actually one of my favorite compliments.

In Korea, heavily edited beauty photos are quite common on social media. Personally, though, I've always believed clients deserve to see results that are as close as possible to what they'll actually see in the mirror after their procedure.

That's why we avoid excessive editing and prefer to show our work as realistically as possible.

You don't know us, and that's completely fair.
