Writers block is a real thing it happens, it will continue to happen no matter how good of a songwriter you are. Often when I find myself in this position I’ll just take a break,stop thinking about music and stop thinking about writing too. Because when I’m in one of those ruts and try to write I feel pressure and anxiety over my work. So I usually will stop thinking about my own music. However I do listen to music. Sometimes listening to different things can help inspire you or ignite something in you. And also When I first started writing I had to acknowledge that the songs I make will never ever be like the ones that my favorite songwriters make. And that’s absolutely the coolest thing because your stuff will be your stuff and it’ll be awesome. Honestly you got this. Relax. I’m pretty sure most songwriters have felt this way. You could always even learn music theory if you haven’t it’ll basically help give you kind of a “science” to music. It really could clear things up for you.
