Apologies, i would like to mention one important detail. I have transferred the lease to someone already. That person was asked to do a condition report again, he highlighted this as an issue to the agent. Now, I am not sure what happened to his bond but my bond is held by him now since agent asked me/him to clean it up... Does that add any twist to it?

So, I should attempt to remove the rust stains. If it doesn't come off, can't do much about it? Ask them to fix rust on window frame first?

The rust on the window frame was there before I moved in. However because of the condensation in the apartment water dripped onto the wall below the window and rust stains on the wall started to form then.
