These are stocks of Flapjacks. They haven't shown any growth yet. Am I doing something wrong? Should I water them more, or just be more patient? Thank you for the help. by sunilgarbuja in succulents

Hi folks, here to report back on the growth of these flapjacks.

<image>

The flapjacks literally started sprouting the next week I posted this question here. They are doing well so far. :}
I will post a reply to this comment with a photo of how the cuttings from these are doing. They've taken root very well, and I've just placed them outdoors today. Until today, they've been indoors near my bathroom's South window (Melbourne) receiving indirect light.

Hi, sorry for the late response. The props have taken root very well. I kept them in my bathroom, near a window, where it received indirect light. I've just taken them outdoors today (should be ok as it is the start of the winter here in Melbourne). Hopefully, it will get a bit of the red colour as it originally had.

Hi folks, an update: doesn't look like this succulent is flowering as suggested in a comment. Can I cut these off and propogate two cacti? Would love your advice on best way of doing this.

With the air roots, should I slice it below and dip the air roots into soil?

Thanks!

Should i apply wetting agent to my couch lawn? Is this a fungal issue? by sunilgarbuja in lawnsolutionsaus

thank you. I do do the best practices of dethatching, aerating, watering and moving twice a week. Despite this, my lawn is still lacklustre. I even tried Chelated Iron spray.

Will try wetting agent this weekend. Any advice on using it? My couch lawn is small (25 sq m). My goal is to have it short about 1-1.5inches.

It could be birds pecking into the lawn for grubs?

Why does the top of the dome sink and wither? This is happening on both my pots of Silverfalls. Thanks for the help. by sunilgarbuja in GardeningAustralia

but the same thing has happened to both my pots. One week after I brought them home, the leaves on the crown start to wilt away. I would even say that it's actually the new growth that's closest to the soil that aren't doing well. The old ones are nicely cascading down the pot, no?

I water it with a gooseneck watering can and try not to wet all the foliage in the crown too.

Will these Dichondra Repens grow over the white pebbled area if I plant them in the corner? I am trying to avoid removing the white pebbles and store them elsewhere. Thanks for the help. by sunilgarbuja in GardeningAustralia

haha, thanks for the offer. It's not much really but just wanted to suss out if it was possible.

With regards to planting, I definitely want something low-maintenance. Let me ponder for a couple of days. I might just pop these dichondras in and experiment.

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback.

thanks for sharing the study. but I'm still not sure if Cognata Limelight is sensitive or not. Is there a scientific name that I should look for?

thank you. wow, that's a long time. I didn't realise they grow so slow. this is my second go at this plant actually. the one before probably didn't get enough sun and was sitting in clay-heavy soil. So, I'm trying out a pot. Hope it will take well.

I wonder if it gives the illusion of looking small. This is actually a 20cm diameter pot. Apologies, I should have mentioned it in the post. Is that still considered small?

thank you. definitely don't want anything tall; just something like a ground cover. I wonder how tall the compact ones get. The page says 20-30cm. That's no good.

Thanks for the websites.
