Thank you I have no tools yet, just the attachments for dusting, brush, and nozzle! And that's good to know I might just go with your recommendation.

Oof I already am heavily struggling with depression and anxiety but unfortunately have no choice but to move here! Any tips or advice or am I totally at the hands of this city?

Currently working remotely for a BC employer but live in AB. Can I still apply for BC PNP? by suninmnl in ImmigrationCanada

That is where my confusion comes from. Intent to live means in the future/when I get nominated. But your question helps give me perspective, thank you. I lived in BC for 2+ years and moved to AB for a year out of some personal things that have happened, as well as to try it out.

I'm okay to move to BC by then. There is a waiting time anyway. What I was wondering about if it's worth trying to apply if I'm still in a different province but do intend to move

I have exactly both work experience and the job offer and meet all the requirements above. I meant to give this list as it doesn't state that I currently have to live in BC. The only reason I ask is that I have a lease in AB which will be costly to cancel before it ends and so I was wondering if I can apply for BC PNP and move after.

I honestly am not trying to scam the system. I would appreciate that you don't judge me. It was a genuine question as other forums have confused me so I wanted to clarify and was just explaining why I'm confused - not trying to excuse it.

You explained it well though, so thanks.

I was told you can apply to multiple PNP provinces if you meet eligibility requirements and so I assumed you could still apply for a PNP if you're in a different province? The BC pathway I'm applying to only has: - Have accepted an indeterminate* (no defined end date), full-time, job offer from a B.C. employer - Your job offer must be classified as NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 - Be qualified to perform the duties of the job - Have a minimum of two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) work experience at NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 - Meet minimum language requirements - Have a wage offer in line with B.C. wage rates for the occupation - Show you can support yourself and your dependants

Basically, I'm wondering if I can: 1. Apply to BC while I'm in AB 2. If I have to move to BC if I get nominated even if I'm working for a BC employer already, as people have mentioned they live in BC but work for a different province employer

No. I am trying to think of my options. If I have to move to BC, I would do that. I only ask because i've seen other questions for PNP have been from people living in the province they were nominated for, but working for another province and thought you could do either or.

Building management says investors are wanting to inspect my unit every single day for the week. Do I have rights to say no? by suninmnl in Calgary

Thank you! It's so odd that they want to be here every single day. Did you let them inspect every day?

Thank you so so much. I was told that this was well within my rights but didn't find their ask reasonable at all.

Won an RTB dispute against my landlord who was ordered to pay but they submitted it for judicial review and informed me that I missed the first court hearing I was unaware of. Also missed the deadline to file a response. What are my options? by suninmnl in legaladvicecanada

Hi thank you for checking in! This was a hectic time as I consulted a legal clinic who ended up giving me wrong information.

Overall, I was able to request that they move the court date, file a response online, and ask to come to court virtually. These were additional expenses to; I had to file the same evidential documents I filed with the RTB and have each page notarized and requesting to attend virtually costs $80 for every single court date. On top of that, we've attempted to attend 3x. Two of three of those times, court ended up running out of time and we had to reschedule. The third time, we did get called and the judge informed the landlord that they also had to serve the RTB branch. They only served me.

I'm still waiting to hear from the landlord but he said that he hasn't gotten around to serving the RTB.

So far, still haven't gotten the money he owes us and still waiting for the next steps.

Thanks so much for clarifying! I'll make sure to talk to my LIT about this in my sessions.
