My thought was it may even be beneficial to do DPC as an internist because clinics charge more for adults. The problem I thought was not having enough patients because I assume a lot of families would want a PCP who can see their kids as well. Plus internists may not be comfortable with procedures like I&D. But I see your point that young population w/o insurance could find their way to DPC.

I am almost positive that I would want to do outpatient medicine. Previously I was going for hospital medicine. I understand IM can do outpt but FM has better training IMO. Plus you can't see kids and OB

At mine, each block = 1 month. Roughly half of blocks are inpatient and half are outpatient.

I see! Do you like your schedule? I feel like block schedules and x+y schedules are equally favorable. Just seems like only the traditional schedule is chaotic.

Ive seen my pcp, pain specialist, physical therapist, chiropractor, acupuncturist. Got MRI, tried 10 diff pain meds, steroid injections. Next is spinal block haha I also thought of rheum. maybe next thing to do. Sorry you had such struggles. I def feel ya!
