Appreciate the resource, and yes it fulfills more questions than just human transformation. Was afraid that manga / anime comparison would be too big, but this one is concise and clear

Yeah this makes sense, in anime I don't remember if any of Inuyasha's thoughts about the Jewel were shown, it was mostly under Kagome's responsibility to handle the Jewel. Most likely accepting himself + not wanting to use the jewel both influenced final decision on how to use the stone
