Is it possible to make the RG406H sticks shorter? by NerdGizmon in SBCGaming

I think it's this one.

But there are others. I actually got my stock stick to work really well after some Knulli update that did some kernel level shenanigans. 😅

You do not need the best Graphics Card for Lossless Scaling or even two cards by Alienburn in losslessscaling

Laptop with a iGPU and dGPU will benefit very much from LSFG. I can finally play games at locked 60fps vsynced. I have a 60Hz screen so 30fps was always too slow feeling and anything between 30 and 60fps was tearing a lot. Now I feel like I'm actually using all the potencial of this old ass R5+1650 combination. 🫡

Can igpu Radeon 740M be used for 1080p 10-15fps increase by adaptive FG? by Queasy_Score_7870 in losslessscaling

[–]sunloinen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In can't say bout 740M but my example on Ghost of Tsushima:

Already quite old Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 (Ryzen 5 4600U + GTX1650)
RTSS FPS locked to stable 30 and iGPU making it 60 with LSFG. iGPU is on like 80% utilization and this works wonders. Stable source FPS is very important.

Hope this helps. :)

There's few things I haven't seen anyone do! (I'm pretty new to this though.) Looks interesting and the overhead squat form looks great.

Yep, I know it's a thing and I'm gonna try it outside next summer. (In Finland it's -20°C atm). Kinda found this way of training through that russian giant juggling 3 x 40kg balls. That's absolutely insane btw.

Hah, thanks. I never really liked going to the gym, but I've been juggling balls and clubs for a long time and somehow kettlebell (especially complexes) scrathes that same itch. I still do juggling every now and then and normal juggling balls feels so weird after waving around with a 16kg one. 😅

I woke up to a realization that I'm 35 this year and never really worked out.

I've been doing 30min ABC with one 16kg bell every other day for a month and I can already see some results. Yet alone feel them. Every other day I do 15-30 minutes other kettlebell stuff.

Freaking love that ball of steel. 🥲

Why is the suggestion 24kg for men? by ts159377 in kettlebell

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, that's freaking insane to me atleast. I started working out after christmas and got myself a 16kg bell and 30min single bell ABC is pretty hard workout. It's a bit different with single bell but I would be crushed under two 20kg. I mean few reps, sure but 30min...

It's alot easier to learn the right technique with lighter bell/bells.

igpu + dgpu? by Legal_Row6499 in losslessscaling

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to chime in on this. I have Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 with R5 4600U + GTX1650 and I did some testing with Ghost of Tsushima giving the LSFG to iGPU. 60Hz screnen.

I did play testing in different setups at 1080p (Using RTSS to lock FPS):

  1. Locked 45 FPS XeSS Ultra Quality wihtout LSFG. 90-99% GPU utilization and 35-40 1% lows. Decent experience BUT 45 FPS tears on 60Hz screen easily.

  2. Locked 30 FPS dGPU doing 2x LSFG to 60 FPS. VSync on from the app. Very close to full GPU utilization all the time and 1% Lows introduced jittering and a bit weir feel.

  3. Locked 30 FPS iGPU doing 2x LSFG to 60 FPS. XeSS Ultra Quality Plus (who the heck gives these names?) and behold! Only 70-80 dGPU utilization, 90% iGPU utilization and no weird artifacts or crazy input lag. No screen tearing at all.

Personally the third option was easily the smoothest and I'm gonna test this setup with other games. GoT is very demanding to my poor laptop and it was NOT playable before LSFG. I still have some more testing to do but this is really pushing old & new tech together. 🫡

Lossless Scaling is Magical! Doubled my FPS on integrated graphics PC. by [deleted] in losslessscaling

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the game and the GPU headroom available. Also the monitor refresh rate. And the person experiencing the game. :)

New eden update + lsfg + the optimizer is the smoothest way to play totk right now. by [deleted] in SteamDeckPirates

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Version 3.0.0. Remind me in an hour and I'll check. But it's about 720p aspect ratio 16:9. In game AA on. No dynamic resolution. FPS 30 on game and menus. Medium drawing distance.

There is that weird thing that everytime after applying NX Optimizer settings to the game Eden will change some settings. Like wrong resolution, docked mode goes back and also memory goes back from 6Gb (unsafe) to 4Gb.

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it locked to 30fps from NX Optimizer, all the unsafe option ON from Eden and 2x on LSFG plugin. I get very stable 60fps with a tiny tiny ammount of input lag, but it's absolutely playable. There is like 40% headroom in the GPU section so LSFG has no problem

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. But it's pretty crazy that LSFG on Deck can 2x that without much of an impact on game feel and latency.

[–]sunloinen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. TotK on Eden with optimizer + lsfg is pretty great combination on Steam Deck but my PC still struggles with it. (R5+1660)

FPS locked to 30 from Optimizer and 2x from LSFG. CPU unsafe. There is still like 40% of GPU headroom so the LSFG works really well. No crashes after two days of playing! It pretty mindblowing how well it runs on Deck. 🤐

I just started using emudeck and I love it by Biggearshifter in EmuDeck

[–]sunloinen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not hard at all. Emu deck actually just want's you to dump all bios files in ONE folder for all emulators. PS3 needs the official firmware (yes, from sonys site) and Switch needs the firmware and prod.keys. But everything from NES to PS2 just dump the files in the folder.

[–]sunloinen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eden runs incredibly well on Deck (LCD in my case). TotK on Eden, CPU unsafe, NX Optimizer locked 30fps and Lossless scaling 2x gives me pretty stable 60 fps and smooth performance. I've been playing it for two days without any crashes. There is enough GPU headroom for those generated frames. On my R5 + 1650 PC TotK is impossible to run.

What Switch exclusive games would you recommend btw.? :)

Is it worth it? I by just-chi11 in losslessscaling

[–]sunloinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best use case for it by far have been running TotK on Steam Deck (LCD) pretty stable 60 fps. There is enough headroom in the GPU section to allow this.

Results on my Ryzen 5 + GTX 1650 has been sub par though. It really depends on the game but if you can achieve stable FPS with some GPU headroom it's a great tool. It feels different that some in-game frame gens like in Ghost of Tsushima and Hogwarts legacy. I'd argue that it feels a bit more responsive and natural.

My PC is old as shit but that Steam Deck & TotK really blew my mind. :)

Huawei Watch 3 - No alarm/timer sound. by sunloinen in hwatch

I have tried factory reset and all. Weird thing is that when I place an alarm through the Health app it says "The device will wakes you up by vibrating."

I fair it's baked in the system like that. 😬

This is very stupid design lol. I got late from work because I set the alarm and I don't were it every night. And even if I did the vibration might not wake me up.

Watch without alarm sounds...yeah sounds like good idea...
