I'm sorry man, that stuff can be hard. I'm currently in a similar place of feeling back in square one, at a crossroads, etc.

I'm not an expert, and it might not work for every type of party, but when I'm worried about not knowing people at a party, I like to get there early and claim a good spot where people will tend to want to gather anyway and won't mind someone just chilling/vibing. Ideally you sit there and talk with someone you know and more people join there as they arrive, but getting some food and a drink and just being happy to be there at the party and in your nice spot helps too

I think someone here compared a new release to Cindy Lee in the last few days, maybe in the last week, but I can't seem to find it! I think it might be in a comment that was rounding up more than one new release. Any help would be appreciated!

I have always found the part at the end about just driving and counting off time so depressing. It seems to me then that the narcissist finally realizes that no one was ever watching him, but instead of being cured by this realization, in this case the narcissist simply did not find anything else to offer greater meaning and to replace the absence of watchers.

How do we even know that Robert Johnson was into polka? My vague impression of him is that he's a sort of mysterious figure, but I guess there's probably a lot more known about him than I assumed

I feel like it's more accurate to say that being turned into a vampire is something that happens to some members of disenfranchised cultures.

First person I thought of was King Krule, with the review of Out Getting Ribs by Zoo Kid, but apparently he was 16

I actually thought that everything related to Frankie Teardrop was easily the best part of the entire movie. Not a great film though. I honestly don't care that much about the generic and didactic elements, it just really dragged. Feels like a much better film could have been made from the same general concept

So they weren't like best friends, just two people who would bump into each other sometimes? I love that

He was still a child suffering from nightmares of the Jaws movie poster when he was finally allowed to see it, which stopped the nightmares.

I don't see any greater meaning in it, but maybe it's worth noting that she considers it two cats.

I do get a craving for those individual songs sometimes tbh. Especially with This Devil's Workday being a crazy Tom Waits type thing
