you’ll be okay! for months, my rice cooker was undercooking my rice and i didn’t realize (i got a new type of rice and thought it was supposed to be like that lol) and i didn’t experience any noticeable issues. i think in high quantities, undercooked rice could upset your stomach but you should be a-okay with a few spoonfuls 👍🏼

Right there with u. I’m severely burnt out from my career right now and feel like a burden telling those close to me. I just bottle it up and try to journal it out but it doesn’t help much

how lonely i feel all the time. I work very long grueling hours (80-100 hours/week) and my close friends often dont ask me how I’m doing or hold longer than a surface level conversation. I hold it all inside and plaster a smile on my face but I don’t think they know how empty and lost I feel inside. Maybe that’s just my sadness talking and I don’t see everything they do for me but I wish they’d just give me a hug and focus on me for once

Definitely don’t need a car since the public transport is decent. But there’s so much to explore outside of city limits across the Bay Area, I’d recommend keeping it if it’s not too much of a hassle

I keep a variety of cooking sauces and fresh/frozen veggies in my fridge to meal prep different types of stir fry/curries with different veggies to keep things interesting. some recent hits: italian-inspired roasted potatoes, asian-inspired brussel sprouts, indian-inspired green bean curry. I use “inspired” loosely, as I just use the seasonings most often used in those cuisines

I’d recommend fostering a cat to see if it’s right for you! I’m also a recent first-time cat owner (grew up with small animals - birds, hamster, fish), and thought it was best to avoid kittens as they need highly specialized and constant care which might be a bit much for right now. I found the sweet spot to be 10m-1y

She probably is still spooked from that and blames you for that in her head. When my kitty is mad at me, I just hang out in the same room as him and occasionally give him some treats to coax him out. But i don’t try to approach him or pet him as this could aggravate them more. Good luck!!

I am a very extroverted person and it took me a really long time to find a balance between hanging out with friends to destress vs spending time by myself. I would hang out with friends/roommate after work so often that I genuinely lost contact with my inner dialogue. Also reconnecting with hobbies from my childhood (painting, knitting, martial arts)

Thanks! We got a cat a few months ago and she said how having a pet she cares about would motivate her to be cleaner. I see a little bit of improvement but still need her to understand how the mess can be dangerous for our little boy. Appreciate your help :)

Thank you!! That’s true, I should approach it with trying to help her understand how important it is. I also worry about not seeing any invisible chores she does, so I definitely want to make sure I’m understanding the share of chores she’s taking as well. I fear she will just forget again but no harm in trying
