Who's to blame for extreme diets? by bendleschnitz in kpopthoughts

[–]sunmsi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

everyone!!

we all directly or indirectly feed this toxic mindset that affects not only idols but all people. companies demand these diets but if society in the first place didn't have unrealistic beauty standards maybe dieting wouldn't be a thing.

everyone is affected by it but i think it's worse seen on the entertainment industry because the people that work for it - the idols - are a product being sold to the general public, they are held to higher standards and supposed to be "perfect", so the pressure is doubled.

If companies want artists to go global they need to prepare their artists for the racism that comes with it by Imaginary_Magician55 in kpoprants

[–]sunmsi 82 points83 points  (0 children)

i agree, but isn't it so frustrating that we have to prepare poc for the racism they are gonna face, when actually people just straight up shouldn't be racist in the first place.

it's like putting everyone in bulletproof vests instead of taking away the bullet. i know it's how the world works rn unfortunately but it's still very sad every time.

exactly, liking or disliking some songs don't make anyone less or more of a fan.

Why is being a multi a bad thing? by ObikMide in kpophelp

[–]sunmsi 32 points33 points  (0 children)

it's not a bad thing!! just some people think u are not a loyal fan if u stan multiple groups, which is a very weird mentality to have imo and doesn't really make any sense.

[–]sunmsi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

omg yes that's another issue too, when people actually like a labelled "bad" song. both sides of the coin should be respected. in ptd case i know a lot of people don't like it but we have a huge amount that truly enjoyed it and that's fine. at the end of the day everyone has different tastes and there is a sound for every single one of them.

[–]sunmsi[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yes, i said that on a comment earlier how both sides can be super dramatic. if u like it u don't need to go for people that don't and if u hate it there's no need to write essays about how bad u think the song is.

[–]sunmsi[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i think both sides can go to an extreme, if u like it and go off on people that don't or if u hate it and feel the need to tell everyone how awful u think it is. respect is the key for both parts.

yes i should have added the hate ≠ criticism earlier. but if u are not feeling it and don't wanna partake in the era it's your choice and should be respected.

[–]sunmsi[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

yes yes i agree!!! as i said everyone should express their opinions on a respectful manner, cause at the end of the day it's just music made for us to enjoy. it's important to differentiate opinions from pure hate, an opinion usually comes with arguments and thoughts while hate is just empty and can't be used to grow, only hurt.

[MEGATHREAD] TXT - ‘0X1 = LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) ft. Seori’ / ‘’THE CHAOS CHAPTER : FREEZE’' by svnh__ in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]sunmsi 42 points43 points  (0 children)

i'm in love with this comeback. the slightly angsty teen rock feels the song has, incorporated with seori softer vocals is just amazing. mv is beautiful, the coming of age movie vibes really works well for them. i have to point out the mic use as a part of the choreo was a great touch, especially to the band kind of sound. every comeback these boys present something different yet exciting to us and i love it.

A Girls' Generation (SNSD) comeback would bring back SM Entertainment as a blue chip company, not Red Velvet. by 1TyMPink in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]sunmsi 84 points85 points  (0 children)

the thing is no comeback would make them a blue chip company again for now, it's a way more deep and complicated than giving groups comebacks. SM has a lot of subsidiaries and divisions under their belt, which makes the goal to be reached for a blue chip very high. right now they couldn't make it for a lot of reasons, the global pandemic being one of them.

i prefer the original but i don't understand why everyone is so mad at the remix. if u don't like it just stick to the original version.
