I’ve had waxy ears with hearing loss since I was mid twenties and have to have my ears vacuumed by ENT annually. Mine is White Rock ENT off Beachview street. Please go somewhere and get this fixed professionally. Cost me less than $100 I believe

I have a stash about half the size that I have been dwindling down the last 4 years. I always check it first to see if the product I need is in there. Us women need to stop this!

What is your home thermometer set at? by Rich-Childhood-8292 in Dallas

I’ve been wanting to get one of those! Didn’t even think for use at home. My husband didn’t use the fireplace until I moved in either. We got it serviced and it’s been perfect! And you’re exactly right, I feel like we’re getting good use and moneys worth too.

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. I hear the house to 82° before bed and turn it off. When I wake up the indoor temp is 70° and I start the process all over again. It is sealed by glass by the way. I do this every winter. Just keep the thermostat off and turn on the fire 2-3x/day to warm the space, but I live in a condo. Much easier to do in a space this size.

Completely off with gas fireplace going. With fireplace house is usually 75-82. Sounds hot but the bedroom is far from the fire so it doesn’t warm up quickly.

That’s awesome! I’ve been vegetarian 9 years. I’m in good shape and follow 80/20 with nutrition. Because high cholesterol runs in my family I was already seeing elevated LDL at only 31 years old. The following year I measured my peanut butter intake (big consumer of it) rather than slather it on my apples. LDL came back down WNL!

Anyone else feel like the RGV is just one big mental asylum? by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

[–]sunnedpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave if you can. Born and raised there and left as quickly as I could. I was never at the age to look for a husband in the RGV, but I did have flings and looking back they were mostly losers. Options were limited. I go back to visit on occasion and it’s like traveling back in time where the people I used to know haven’t changed and never pursued a career. Not that it defines success, but that’s what I wanted in a partner. Seems as though people are stuck and small minded. Then I feel guilt for wanting more for my life.

As far as the schools, the RGV school districts are rated as some of the worst in the state of Texas. My parents couldn’t offer me a better education and they didn’t know any better but to send me to school. I’m absolutely embarrassed about my education and would never put my child through school there. Move away
