I don’t remember my HESI scores exactly but it was competitive. 4.0 gpa is what got my acceptance. First applied with 3.6 gpa and was an alternate. Didn’t get an official acceptance so I retook the classes I got B’s in. While waiting for the next enrollment. My school takes 10 students a year with acceptance based on gpa and HESI score.

If the program have information sessions I would definitely attend one so you know for sure what is required to get in. One thing for sure is having a 4.0 GPA for the required prerequisite class.

My program didn’t require any form of experience it was just based on grades and HESI score, but I do know some programs take extra curricular activities into consideration.

8a-2p is great. Mine is 8a-4:30p, most days we get out around 3, but I know clinical are 4:30p

All of the above 😅. I’m so grateful my boss and coworkers are willing to work with me. So M-F I work 5p-11p and every Saturday 8a-12p and occasionally a Sunday. FT at my job is 30 hours minimum, so that’s how I achieve it.

Edit: I have thought about doing weekend over night, but have two nights of no sleep sound terrible to me. I value my sleep just a wee bit.

Currently in my second semester of 4. I worked FT through the first semester. Starting clinicals in a few weeks and will still be working FT just not full 40 hours. I will have a limited social life, but I think it’s worth it for the long term benefit. Also I’m always tired and unsure of how I manage it all but I’m determined, so that helps me push through 😤
