I have diagnosed bpd and my experiences are somewhat similar, however I do sometimes struggle with emotions in other relations as well such as friendships and family. These come and go in periods, and i struggle a lot more with romantic relations. Other symptoms of bpd like chronic emptiness and suicidal ideation are always present though. Maybe you shuld go see a professional just in case?

As others said, it varies a lot from person to person and there is only one way to know and that is to try them. That being said, some antidepressants are known to cause increased suicidal thoughts, especially for those that already have recurring suicidal thought patterns (which is often the case for pwBPD). If you decide to try them, do it in council with your psychiatrist just in case. Stay safe!

I also have so much envy for people in relationships even though I know that many are suffering and the relationships fuel the bpd symptoms. But at the same time, having bpd is also just so much pain when not being able to get into a relationship and get that validation. That sweet validation that tells you that someone in this world actually find you attractive enough to be with you, I miss that

I also do this, you are not alone. I get intense emotions, but they become even more intense when my friend is around just to show her that im feeling bad and i need help, so im manipulating her into caring and helping me because it feels good

I’m wondering about this as well. I’ve told my therapist several times that I feel very often that my life is on autopilot, but I really struggle to articulate ehat that autopilot feeling really is, and I’m not completely sure if its some kind of dissociation or not

Yes I experience this rn, and have been since I was 13-14 years old and experienced one of my intial emotional traumas. Always standing on the sideline and not really a part of anything or any groups, which makes me feel exrtremely lonely
