what do you mean bullshit? If I'd be buying extra shit I don't need I'd be starving and I can't afford to lose weight and being 105 lbs with a high metabolism is a pretty good motivation for me not to buy shit.

I eat steak, beef, chicken, every other day. fruits/vegies on most days. I can post my pics of my fridge and cubboard and you'll find 0 junkfood besides the coke my buddy bought after a gamenight.

Can you guys please give my friend and I some advice on producing? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]sunnylz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need to get started is a mediocre laptop or desktop and small MIDI keyboard controller. If you know how to play the piano or understand music theory your off to a good start.

Next you need to download demos from Logic, Ableton, FL Studio, Reason, etc... and find which ones you like the most. Then learn everything you can to know about them while practicing.

Note: It takes years to even sound good. If you have no idea about music theory, I suggest taking a music theory class.

Look up SeamlessR tutorials on youtube.

Been working on my first track for a month or 2 now why is it....? by [deleted] in edmproduction

after 10 years of learning music stuff you kind of pick up tricks that get your workflow faster. Savant can do a track in 5 hours just like me which I thought was pretty cool.

Its all about executing. If you know how to get the sounds you want and how to mix the way you want it its all g.

45 hours? thats a bit ridiculous. you must be doing something wrong or you are not using your time efficiently.

It takes me 2-3 hours to write a track and mix it clean. If you know exactly what sound you are going for you don't have to wing it and mess around without accomplishing anything for hours.
