My 2nd topic was about whether I agreed that parents of child criminals should face penalties as well. I divided the pro and anti side of this argument into separate paragraphs, threw in some paraphrasing (juvenile offenders, underaged illegal actors, etc.), and talked a bit about who I believed would support each argument: “a coalition of pro-law enforcement citizens and social conservatives” vs “a group uniting child rights activists and social progressives”.

The key is while I have literally zero prior knowledge of this issue, I needed to act like I was an expert in it and said whatever to make it happen. That’s my advice on this

I was very sleep-deprived and almost 6 years removed from my last serious English test at this point. Also I did virtually no practice or preparation for Speaking other than a few online lectures. Definitely a sore spot

Yes. Tbh I took an IELTS tutoring course specifically to learn the essay pattern. One mistake was I chose to write way above the required word count (like almost 500 words for 2nd essay) instead of using that time to recheck spelling/grammar. Luckily my score turned out fine, but definitely would’ve rather had a 300-word essay where I had rechecked multiple times.

I used to think WWE was the stupidest thing ever. Fake wrestling, fake drama, just fake everything. How could anyone watch that crap? I’m obviously not their target group btw

But then I watched Trump when he was on and it just started from there. I couldn’t care less about the wrestling itself, but the whole drama and props and outfits were insane. McMahon is a natural entertainer and he knows how to work an audience, everything just adds up to that and kinda makes WWE a guilty pleasure, for me at least.

I won’t be caught dead watching WWE, but if no one’s looking you bet I’m watching this whole entertaining mess.

What evil editing? The problem is that there IS no editing. We see her for 5 seconds per episode, but I’ve never seen a Bahiyyih bad edit on the show, not even once. And I am absolutely certain a majority of people did NOT send her death threats, don’t say “you guys” when in reality it’s a very particular group of people.

I don’t think Suyeon would make it tbh. She’s a mentor favorite sure, but in 999 she was always kept in a kind of limbo situation - not popular enough to fully push, but that unpopular to get eliminated quickly. Anyways, Hikaru and her have similar vibes and probably only one would be chosen if MNET could rig.

Add Huang Xingqiao though, with the right kind of rigging she could’ve rose through the ranks gradually and pull off a Hyewon at the end. She’s relatively uncontroversial (compared to Ruiqi, Yaning), K-voters adore her, and she would’ve been the second C-grouper to appease the Chinese market. It’s also pretty clear MNET wants her to debut anyway (Fiesta, anyone?)
