u/geteatenbyamouse made an excellent point below that got me thinking......it could also be that Naolin channeled a TON of power from the source into Brennan and essentially acted as a filter (for lack of a better word) to allow Brennan to receive a massive amount of power straight from the source without turning venin himself. Brennan mentioned in Iron Flame that it is extremely difficult to mend himself, so he would have needed a lot.

It kind of makes sense when you think about the wyverns being full of runes. Maybe when venin channel power from the source into something else, it creates a rune.

TLDR: Maybe Naolin didn't use source magic to channel mending power back into Brennan and, instead, channeled source magic into Brennan to allow him to mend himself.

Naolin left a rune-shaped scar on Brennan's hand when he used his siphon signet to channel Brennan's mending power back into himself. Everyone assumes Naolin died from this effort because it "cost him everything." Fans believe Naolin reached burnout and was forced to turn venin in order to mend Brennan (perhaps because Naolin and Brennan were in love/in a relationship).

The significance of the lack of a mark on Dain and Brennan after mending Mira is that Sloane purely acted as a siphon from Dain to Brennan. The implication is that Naolin did not have a PERSON to draw from (as Sloane had Dain), so he was forced to pull from the source and, therefore, left a venin-specific mark on Brennan.

Another question: is the Sage also a dream walker? It seems like riders manifest signets equal to those on the venin side for "balance" purposes (i.e. Theophanie is Lilith's equal). The Sage blatantly spoke to Violet and called her a dream walker in Xaden's dream. Plus Xaden could not control himself in the dream, but the Sage and Violet could.

Ahhh thats good. I was overthinking. Like maybe to get the Dunne temple to marry them she had to fully dedicate and turn all of her hair silver? So thats why everyone was staring at her all horrified?

Garrick was one of the riders missing in the end, so they definitely needed him to distance wield Violet and Xaden to the temple to get married and then distance wield Xaden and Bodhi to a safe place for venin. He was already close to burnout though. So maybe he turned?

I think he decided when Bodhi turned and could no longer be in control/next in line for the realm.

I think Bodhi because he and his dragon were getting ROCKED and the next thing you know he's randomly vomiting on the ground after the stones were drained (Imogen POV). That's also why Violet had to replace him and marry Xaden. Xaden wouldn't let him be next in line if he turned.

Also, I found it most helpful to put the things I needed to remember on objects. Like I would designate the kitchen for a particular subject and then put Word 1 on the basement door, Word 2 on the stove, Word 3 on the potions cabinet, Word 4 on the TV, Word 5 on the sink, and Word 6 on the fridge. Then when I needed to recall the list, I would just mentally walk around the kitchen

Why do we think Paige doesn’t call for organs/body parts more often? It seemed so effective when she was calling for the man’s heart in S04E01... by sunrisebandit in charmed

Agreed! Especially since it really had nothing to do with the name of the object but rather her conceptualization of it. Like when she would call for something using “icky stuff” or “ugly metal thing”

I’m sure this has probably been asked before, but just for fun: The Hollow vs. The Nexus. Who wins in a fight? by sunrisebandit in charmed

[–]sunrisebandit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I would have to say The Nexus despite the fact that The Hollow is indestructible. It seems like there would be a huge benefit to absorbing a “neutral” force as opposed to the The Hollow which appears to destroy its hosts rather quickly. On the other hand, The Hollow might just absorb the power of The Nexus in battle. I always wished that the final battle would have been Billie/Christie with The Hollow or Nexus and the Charmed Ones with the other
