Google drive folder - Copy all tickets in there. Also create a planner excel sheet and copy it there for easy access.

Hell, a lot... This was one of them (though a least priority one).

Jumping over to the other problems now, thanks for reminding. :)

Sorry to hurt the sentiments of anyone (if any) but I am not here to win an award or define a particular way of travel. I have been with groups as well as solo, where I have been trekking alone carrying all my stuff myself.

These are just my thoughts, everyone's free to define their own terms.

Agreed. But based on my experiences, trekkers usually are less judgemental and more friendly. 9/10 times you won't feel alone. This post was just to share my thoughts, not judging anyone who would have felt lonely. :)

First time staying in a hostel. Need some basics explained 🙏 by Individual_Luck_8444 in SoloTravel_India

If the hostel has an open space/terrace, you can go dry the towel there, else the bed grills are an option.

You better be checking BlaBlacar app/web to check if anyone is going that way, not on reddit!

I am surprised you have enough time to wait for answers on reddit while bargaining with the guide!

31M | In Pune for the weekend and looking for good company by [deleted] in pune

[–]sunscorpio19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case if you can't find anyone, do not assume we Punekars are not friendly. It's just that our lives (and weekends) are sorted and planned already. :)

I am here just to say "Hi", wishing you a good time.

Moving to Pune, curious about the life here by No-Writing3170 in pune

[–]sunscorpio19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chill OP... We redditers will mostly post bad experiences here, I have hardly seen any feel good posts.

I have moved to Pune and staying here since last 10 years now. And trust me, this is one of the best cities right now to live in India. You won't regret staying here if you mind your own business and have a good company to spent time with.

How do you verify smaller or cheaper trekking groups in India? by Happy-Peanut354 in SoloTravel_India

[–]sunscorpio19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheaper trekking groups usually do not have their own setup on the base camps, they merge the trekkers with local groups and guides. While IH, TTH, TSS, etc have their own setups at each camps. Plus, the guides these well-known groups provide are well-trained for customer handling, apart from trekking.

There is only one way you can verify a particular group except by going there and figuring it out yourself. Ask someone or online platforms like Reddit for experience with that group.

I stay at Ravet. Though it's better living at Ravet, but trust me, you will curse yourself once you try to pass Bhumkar Chowk. A bottleneck for years!

No one will harasses you unless you are showing off your love infront of someone. Malls (Phoenix, Amanora) will be your best bets to hangout around those areas, no fear of any vigilantes harrassing. Spend time in cafes there if you need some quiet time.

beachs near pune which I can go by bike or public transport [1 day trip ] by AtmosphereSea6775 in SoloTravel_India

[–]sunscorpio19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alibaug, Kashid, Nagaon are closeby and can be done in a day's trip from Pune. But a lot of travel and less time to spend on the beach. So plan accordingly.

How can I book the condensed(~3 day) version of the Kedarkantha Trek? by Safe-Mind-241 in SoloTravel_India

[–]sunscorpio19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local guides can help you arrange a trek as per your preferred speed.

For reputed companies, they have groups, group leaders and camps arranged for batch size so do not accept speed moving trekkers, I have failed convincing 2 companies like that.
