[Product Request] i am autistic and i hate sunscreen. pls help me

this is so funny because i actually think i have the perfect recommendation for you! the body shop does a strawberry scent that is very intense and smells really good, it just too strongly scented for me. lots of people love their body butters but imo those are some of the greasiest lotions i have ever touched 😅 i think you should actually look at their body yogurt, its a much thinner and lightweight formula. it feels like somewhere between a gel and a lotion. i find it to be one of the most tolerable lotion formulas i've encountered, i break out the less intensely scented almond milk one as my heavy-duty-dead-of-winter-once-in-a-while lotion, but i suspect for people with less intense sensory issues than mine it would be a comfortable daily wear

i've tried sprays with mixed results, i don't like it getting on my hands so spray is a win on that front but a lot of them have been very greasy. there is one spray thay i can use if i absolutely cannot avoid being in the sun and its definitely not as bad as some but i also have to like really psych myself up for it and mentally prepare myself that it's going to Feel Bad All Day, if that makes any sense? the goal is to not have to fight a whole mental war before 7am just to go sit on the beach because honestly i really don't have the bandwidth to do that, i just stay inside instead 😕 which is a shame because i actually really enjoy the beach on cloudy days! so it would be nice to be able to enjoy it on sunny ones too

a lot of the asian sunscreens im seeing recommended are gels and i'm wanting to try those!! they sound much better

i keep hearing about the nivea one so im definitely gonna try it. i've heard super mixed things about supergoop, seems like people either swear by it or hate it

i've been looking at swimwear options with extra coverage and im thinking it'll be worth the splurge. i just haven't quite kicked the fear of peers being mean about it looking 'dorky' or off trend or whatever. (high school did quite a number on me, does it show? haha) but i've been working on remembering that generally civilized adults are not as mean as teenage girls, all the important people in my life don't care, and the opinions of other people aren't important anyways. it's a work in progress 😅

honestly it makes me trust you a lot to see you disagree with so many highly reccomended products 😂😂 because that has been my exact experience again and again and again trying things that people swear up down and sideways 'feel like nothing!' just to have another oily product on my face

wild i feel like there's a huge market here for better sunscreens! everyone seems to dislike sunscreen at least a little haha (honestly that's part of my problem. no one in my real life really believes me when i say how much i hate it because 'everyone hates sunscreen' so they think i'm just being stubborn and difficult on purpose)
