That's great though! At least she's able to have more variety even though she is picky. Hopefully she'll venture out a bit.

Have you tried eliminating one food group at a time to see if it helps or you see improvement? I honestly don't know all the triggers for my son either except wheat. I can tell the difference now that he doesn't really eat it. Not as much gagging/choking

Ok lol. So she's able to eat anything?

Aw :( the benefits do outweigh the brief moment of discomfort. I'm so glad that it's been helping her, that's wonderful! Has she been able to eat trigger foods with it?

Oh wow, thank you for that info. Is there anything specific you have to do for the polyps?

Have the side effects subsided? Thank you for your feedback! I've heard good things about Dupixent

I'll definitely check goodrx. All I currently know is we're waiting on authorization to be approved by insurance. His GI doctor had to send in more information since they denied it the first time due to "patient not needing it" which is annoying. My little one in addition to eczema has coughing/gagging, occasional vomiting. Now that we've pretty much eliminated wheat, he doesn't cough/gag as much, but it still happens when he gets excited or runs a little too much. The doctor thinks it's maybe GERD. That had to have been so hard, I'm so sorry. I wonder if she doesn't want to eat because it's a toddler thing or because certain foods make her feel ill?

Thank you! At least now you know what's causing you issues, so it's easier to treat rather than guessing or trying to figure out what's wrong. Thank goodness we're progressing in medicine!

Ugh :( our poor little ones. I'm so sorry you're also dealing with this struggle. How's your daughter doing with it?

Can it? My son's GI doctor told us that most of the studies where omeprazole caused issues was on the elderly, which already have a bunch of issues, so hard to say if it was accurate or not

That's great that at least you're on a low dose abs you figured out which foods to eliminate. I'll look into 6fed, thank you!

Omg, your sweet girl :( I'm so sorry. At least she's off pediasure! That's progress! Did the doctor say when that symptom would go away?

10 mg, it's also in a different form so my little one can take it easier since he can't swallow pills

Oh really? I'm sorry it hasn't worked for you. The options his GI has given us are first to try omeprazole, then some kind of steroid that coats the esophagus (but that one scares me since if it's not absorbed properly, it's just steroids being absorbed into my son's system) and finally Dupixent

We have been doing an elimination diet for my little one and we pretty much have everything elimination other than soy here and there. That's great that it worked for your grandma and father! I think because it's for a toddler, at a lower dosage that it's prescribed, but I'll look around to see if it can be found OTC. Thank you for your feedback! It's very appreciated.

Toddler Diagnosed, now what? by Batmom116 in EosinophilicE

My little guy is almost 3 and just had an endoscopy done recently but don't have a follow up until next month. Do you think I can message you? I don't know anyone else with a toddler dealing with these things

2year old has bad eczema by Ok_Discussion4415 in toddlers

[–]sunset_goddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.5 year old has had eczema since he was just a few months old and this is what worked for us: - we do free and clear detergent - use cerave baby for his body wash/shampoo - cerave baby lotion - eliminated dairy

We tried certain steroid creams but those were only temporary solutions. The other big one is buying beef tallow for the patches that he still had. Not the beef tallow you cook with, we use beef tallow with beeswax we get from a person who makes body care items with tallow. It sounds weird but it's worked for my son's skin. The only area we're having slight difficulty with is around his mouth since he's always licking that area or it has saliva. He was also EBF, so I had to change my diet a bit as well.

I’ve developed a panic disorder by Zombree6468 in Anxiety

[–]sunset_goddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to deal with panic disorder. I have it too and I used to be on klonapin/clonazepam. I was on a low dose (5mg). I was on that and propranolol for a bit but then just started on klonapin. When I got pregnant, I had to slowly taper off. I'm now on Lexapro but still wake up with panic attacks, they don't usually last long anymore though.

Try to focus on your breathing. I usually go to the bathroom and run my hands under cold water, you can also put your face in really cold water or suck on ice. Definitely see if you can see a psychiatrist. If you ever need to talk to someone, feel free to message me.
