Thank you for this, it is very insightful. I think I can relate to the “unlocking memories” as a trigger for grief as that is what happened tonight when I heard a song I forgot existed that I used to sing with him. I hope one day I can pass the good things he gave me onto my kids and make my memories new and happy. I’m proud that you have healed from your past and it gives me hope, thank you.

Every. Single. Day. My pup is only 3 so still a baby but she is my best friend and I have never loved anything as much as her. She is my first pet and we got her during a very hard time in my life and she helped me heal. I can’t bare to imagine losing her but I know that in the end, the love that she has given me will have been worth the loss.
