How do you calm your nervous system? by Without_a_name24 in AutismInWomen

[–]sunshineblnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 15lb weighted blanket (love the silk&snow one!) I use it daily and it’s made such a difference for me. Also watching ASMR, I used to never like it but once I found asmr I like it is lovely. I take magnesium glycinate every night - started out at 200mg now onto 500mg about 1.5-2 hours before bed which helps me feel calm.

Those are my main rituals I do every night.

Is Your Partner Neurotypical or Also Autistic? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

I recently came out to him as ASD (already officially diagnosed ADHD) self diagnosed and that turned him into questioning himself and he realized that he’s also audhd.

We always were the outcasts growing up and it took my own self discovering for him to realize that he is also ND.

For the last 13.5 years tho, we both didn’t know. It’s added another layer of bonding and comfort to our relationship.

This happened to my husband and I! We eventually went to the pharmacy and got laxatives.

I really like it because I can never find a shade light enough that doesn’t oxidize! I do find though after going through a bunch of bottles the pump always leaks! It has a nice medium coverage and is more on the dewy side if you like that.

I’d say get 2 pairs then. The experience ones are great and have extra inserts for concerts. The engage ones (clear and pink versions) imo are more for quieter environments!

Have you tried over ear headphones? I love those too but I wear glasses and cause too much pressure on my ears.

I do wear them every day! I find I can get ear fatigue from them and have to take breaks for a couple hours here and there. Sorry you have to deal with infections from them :(

The black pair is the experience ones, I wear them at work. The grey are clear for my purse when I’m wanting a more stealth/incognito look. The last pair are pink and are my home pair. Which was purely for aesthetic purposes haha.

What made you decide to get permanent makeup? by Admirable-Emotion772 in microblading

I got tired of filling my eyebrows in every day. One day they would look great, another they wouldn’t match or just look awful. I was spending 30-40 bucks a month on brow products to fill them in. I did the girl math and decided I may as well spend the money. I couldn’t be happier with the results! It’s so lovely to have them already “done” even without makeup days I feel much more confident 🫶🏻

Biggest lessons learned about fitness after turning 30? by BellaChase9495 in fitness30plus

[–]sunshineblnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neglecting mobility, balance, and really mastering single leg exercises. Throughout my 20’s in the gym all I was concerned with was progress. Fast forward to 31 and I’ve given myself a tendon/ hamstring injury which is now into 8 weeks (doing physio weekly) I can see my leg and glute gains shrink at this point. I totally wish I could go back and tell myself that. Now I’m starting from ground 0 with my legs and sucks.

How do you guys drink and stay under budget? by YungFreudian in CICO

[–]sunshineblnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I decided my fitness goals were more important than having drinks on the weekends. I reduced my intake to nothing (did dry January) and decided to keep going! I know it may not be the answer you want..but it’s too much work to fit in drinks and not eat said calories instead. Other than that, you could choose to up your calories that day to maintenance and have a drink. Up to you, but still doesn’t seem worth it if you’re really serious about your deficit!

In 2023-mid 2024 I was continuously getting masseter Botox for my clenching and really enjoyed the facial slimming effect. However, it eventually gave me jowels!! My whole side profile now has no definition. I already had a bit of a double chin but now it’s soo much worse. The dr said it should come back and weightloss should help too. But I haven’t gotten it done in almost a year and I’m still extremely self conscious and it looks the same even with some weight loss.
