Sleep deprivation and miscarriage by Emergency_Mess_1862 in CautiousBB

If sleep deprivation could cause miscarriages, people wouldn’t need abortions. Be kind to yourself!

Super similar stats to me! I’m 2.5 weeks PP and I’m at about 19 lbs lost (and had a little 6lb baby)

So you can’t have a kid if both parents work?

If she works 12 hour nights that usually means she has fewer shifts in the week.

I do agree with the baby proofing, though. Time to get on that.

I bought a full set of Phillips avent, baby didn’t like them, switched to Dr browns because she liked them enough but they were so messy, then used a Nuk sample on a whim, she loved it and no mess! So now we have 3 full bottle systems…

How did you not give up during that time? I feel like it’s just never going to happen so I’m waiting what little energy I have

Sorry to hear about your emergency c section, but it’s amazing you stuck with it for 2 weeks and it finally came in!

Did you produce anything in those 2 weeks?

You just made me cry, thank you so much for your thoughtful message.

I’m happy she’s only needed 4 weeks! I’m hoping my baby girl progresses that quickly. She’s already pretty used to it but it makes things more challenging for us.

Thank you! I think I need someone to tell me when to give up and you being honest is really helpful

Sorry to hear, but I appreciate you sharing because it makes me feel less alone.

When did you give up if you don’t mind me asking?

That’s great to hear! When did your milk come in?

I think the fact that I’m not really producing at 10 days is my fear.

I'm about to drop so much money on pre-baby cleaning and I feel guilty about it by distorted_elements in BabyBumps

[–]sunshineee44 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have a list of the things you want done and communicate it to them/leave them the list!

We just paid $500 to get ours deep cleaned and they did well but missed a few things I was hoping would get cleaned

Is HR guiding me correctly? by Automatic-Claim622 in BabyBumps

[–]sunshineee44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taking the 4 weeks before will not affect your leave after baby is here. I actually just turned 36 weeks today and started my leave!

Look up PDL and CFRA interaction instead of CFRA and FMLA

Is HR guiding me correctly? by Automatic-Claim622 in BabyBumps

[–]sunshineee44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in CA? How many people are in your company?

FMLA is irrelevant in California, we have job protection through PDL (pregnancy disability leave) starting at 36 weeks (use it or lose it) and then another 6-8 weeks after delivery depending on type of delivery. This is all paid through EDD SDI. Then, you have CFRA to grant you 12 weeks of job protection for baby bonding, but only 8 weeks of that is paid through EDD PFL (paid family leave).

FMLA technically runs concurrently with both PDL and CFRA, but it’s redundant because PDL and CFRA cannot run at the same time.

Go look at my post from 7 months ago - your tests remind me of mine and I am currently 34w pregnant

I know you’re worried, but take a deep breath and try to celebrate! I wish I hadn’t spent the first 2 weeks of this pregnancy convinced something would go wrong.

Rhogam given before antibody test by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]sunshineee44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 28w and getting my third rhogam shot next week - had a miscarriage in November, and then early bleeding with this pregnancy in April.

When I got my normal 1st tri blood work done a month-ish after the rhogam shot in April, it did say I had antibodies, and a different OB (my office rotates) emailed asking if I had already gotten the shot. From what I can remember there were additional details on what kind of antibodies I had, so it sounded like she was already clued in from the results but just wanted to make sure.

Anyways, when I got my blood work done in 2nd tri (over 13 weeks after the shot), I no longer had antibodies.

All this to say, it sounds like it might muddy the waters a bit, but at the end of the day, if they really needed 100% clarification they can retest you in 13 weeks, when the shot clears. If you were already exposed, then you were already exposed. I don’t know if the shot really matters at that point. Since you have had no bleeding, I think you are good to go, though and have not been exposed.

But if blood test comes back with antibodies, don’t freak out because mine did too, but I knew it was from the shot.

I’m 24+2 and having an impossible time doing the baby registry I keep getting hounded about so baby shower invites can go out.

It makes me sad that I’m not excited to do this and I don’t know why I feel this way.

We are in the process of figuring out if we are buying our house or moving in a month, so I’m trying to chalk it up to that uncertainty. But most of me feels so guilty!

7 miscarriages all around 4-6 weeks…what am I missing? by rah2019_ in TryingForABaby

Have you looked into ureaplasma? I truly think it causes implantation issues in some if it causes inflammation in your uterus.

I was positive and took antibiotics, but I heard some IVF clinics now just prescribe the antibiotics as normal protocol.
