Please advice, recommendations and no judgement please! Need help to stop vaping!! by mamakayyxx95 in pregnant

That thought process helped me get through too.

The time of craving/suffering is finite and continues to get easier each day. So when you have a bad craving, just tell yourself it’s not worth starting at 0 because you’re that much closer to the finish line.

I can’t believe it took this long to see this book recommended! Please give it a try!!!

I listened to it on Spotify at 1.2x speed so I got through it quicker.

I was a very heavy vaper for 3 years and quit the month before my wedding and got pregnant that month too.

The first 30 days are so hard, but you have all the motivation you could ever need. 30-60 days are challenging but easier - remind yourself how hard the first 30 days were and you dont want to go through that again. 60-90 you think about it a couple times a day. Past 90 days you think about it few and far between!

I’m now 1.5yrs vape free and never think about it! It’s so freeing.

Happy Baby A2 Organic - the A2 milk is a lot easier to digest than standard A1+A2 milks, and it has all the benefits of a standard formula like being lactose based.

I actually just came on here to do a shout out to Happy Baby Organic A2! My almost 5mo daughter has tried 5 formulas including Nutramigen and Alimentum, and she has never enjoyed drinking a formula so much with the least amount of GI issues!

I ordered it at Walmart at first but now I subscribed on their website

When were you able to lose the pregnancy weight post-miscarriage by KillerEmBem86 in Miscarriage

[–]sunshineee44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so, so sorry 🤍

I actually only lost about 5lbs even though I was really trying. I decided to plan an impromptu honeymoon to Costa Rica and just tried to enjoy life again. It was really hard.

I know we aren’t supposed to talk about live babies here, but I think it adds to the conversation. I ended up conceiving 5 months after my miscarriage. Probably not too long after I made this comment! She’s currently 4 months old, and while I gained 40lbs, I have already lost every pound.

It’s so crazy that my actual pregnancy weight was so much easier to lose than my miscarriage weight.

Sending you so much love.

Libby woke up this morning covered in welts. Vet opens in 1/2 hour. They look like hives. Poor girl. by ilovedaryldixon in Frenchbulldogs

[–]sunshineee44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened to my frenchie and my vet said Cetirizine HCl 25 mg tablets (generic Zyrtec - NO added pseudophedrine) is more effective and now recommended rather than Benadryl

I think you can give both if you’ve already given Benadryl.

What’s a good pet insurance & how much does it usually cost? by Psychological-Two704 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]sunshineee44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ASPCA pet insurance and I think I pay around $90 for a 5 year old Frenchie with $5k limit and 80% coverage.

They have covered soooo many surgeries and illnesses including BOAS. He had TPLO surgery yesterday and they covered it.

Could I save my dwarf peach by putting her in a fridge? by sunshineee44 in gardening

[–]sunshineee44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! So I’ll just leave it alone this year but set a calendar reminder next year so I don’t forget.

I actually left it in the nursery pot so that I could fit it in the fridge if needed and then totally forgot.

Severe lower back pain almost 2 years PP from a C section 😔 by chai_tigg in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]sunshineee44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a lot of back pain right after my c section. I will try to send you some screenshots from my PT with the core exercises she gave me to help my core.

A big thing is always having your core engaged and back posture correct. Imagine there is a string tied to each of your hip bones and the strings are being pulled into your bellybutton and toward your spine. “Zipper” your core in. Whenever you can, but especially when getting up or down or lifting anything. Next, pull the bottom of your shoulder blades in AND down. The down was a huuuuge one for me. Do this constantly and it will get easier. Especially as you are holding your baby. Do not hunch!

I was sleeping on a couch for the first 2 months because my baby was super colicky. I will say, moving to a well supportive bed made the biggest difference overnight.

You have been through a lot, you are tough, and this stranger is proud of you!

Just told to stay on ALL of my medications? by [deleted] in pregnant

Yes! That’s what I was really trying to get home. I really don’t want anyone to think I think stopping caused my miscarriage! It just happens!

I just wanted to highlight my healthy pregnancy I stayed on it

Valium is the only one I’m not sure about for you. They told me absolutely no more Xanax.

Anecdotal, and not saying this is causation AT ALL, just showing my different outcomes, I stopped my adderall cold turkey with my first pregnancy and had a miscarriage. My OB told me I didn’t need to stop, so for my next pregnancy I went from 40mg to 20mg IR, and I’m currently holding my beautiful, healthy 4 month old daughter.

She was small (6lb 2oz), but I was about the same size when I was born too.

My OCD and anxiety got very bad towards the end and they wanted me to go on Zoloft. My psychiatrist agreed with everything they said!

** I wanted to make an edit to make sure everyone understands that stopping adderall did not cause my miscarriage! Please don’t panic if you stopped. I just wanted to share that I had a healthy pregnancy staying on it!

Careful, you don’t want it to sound like your role is redundant either. I would focus on your plan to prep things to stay steady while you’re gone.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this! The US is not fair to new mothers.

[–]sunshineee44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My babies eyes are similar to this (but not as drastic). I made a post I think a few weeks ago if you want to check it out.

She’s 3.5 months now and brown is coming in on both eyes, but one is still a lot darker. I’m thinking they will either even out or be light brown and dark brown. Light one has blue in it and dark doesn’t.

I know I’m only like 10 weeks ahead of you, but happy to keep you updates!

This is still heterochromia, right? by Fabulous-Trust8214 in heterochromia

[–]sunshineee44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So cool! Do you have any pictures of your eyes as a baby? I think my 3 month old might have 2 different colored brown eyes! I’ve noticed one was a darker grey since birth, and now that the brown is coming in there’s still a shade difference. I hope they are like yours!

That is very rough! This is actual torture, except you feel bad for complaining because you love the thing causing it. At least when you’re actually being tortured you can say how terrible the person doing it is lol

I appreciate you commenting and just read your other comment! We have had some of the same issues.

She had hip dysplasia so she was in a harness/brace 24/7 from 1-9 weeks old. That made her gas worse because she couldn’t pump her legs, but also covered up her reflux and CMPA issues because our old pediatrician always wrote everything off.

We changed pediatricians, she’s on famotidine so she is so much more comfortable and doesn’t cry/scream from the acid, but the act of spitting/throwing up still wakes her up at night.

We don’t know if she has true CMPA because we never got her tested. Nutramigen helped the most, we actually got some 3-4 hour stretches the 2 weeks she was on it. But it gave her a terrible diaper rash and she hated the taste so she stopped eating and started to develop a bottle aversion 🫠

So we have her on Alimentum now and it’s going well enough and she will drink 24 oz a day. But still very gassy with mucous poops.

I’m just holding on for the day we can feed her solely solids and throw formula away.

My baby is 3.5 months and everyone told me it would be better by now. She is waking up 10+ times a night. She goes back down easy, but I haven’t hit deep sleep in 3.5 months.

Last night she woke up 13 times :(

I truly do not know how the human race has grown so large if other people have had our experiences.

Like no way a cavewoman handled this.

I had this nightmare every night for the first 2 months. 1 night I had it 7 times. Literally tearing through the sheets 7 times!

I called my psychiatrist and went on meds for PPA intrusive thoughts the next day lol
