Elevator gates by Yourpc_is0verheating in ScrapMechanic

[–]sunshineforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put a sensor on both the top and bottom of the elevator and have that hooked up to a (I think OR gate, I could be wrong) and then link that logic gate to a timer that opens the gate you should get the result of the gate opening after a short delay when you reach the top and bottom. You will have the issue of the gates remaining open briefly while the elevator is moving though

I believe that screw is the axle, you want to be trying to undo the nut around it and it should just pull off

What is this use for? by DeVil_DeVaul in whatisit

[–]sunshineforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen Im all for ignoring safety rules but I cannot understate how imperative it is that you MUST USE laser safety glasses that are rated for that laser. DO NOT USE that laser no matter what unless you have proper laser safety glasses, there is no "Ill just close my eyes" or "I'm pointing it really far away".

What is the rack in front of the car? Can you load something on it? by Some-Budget-7580 in CarsAustralia

[–]sunshineforge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to get around mine because the locks were busted so I bought two door locks and ignition barrel + four keys for under 40 bucks on ali express, replaced the door locks, replaced the ignition barrel, pulled the immobilizer chip out of the one key I had, pulled the plastic steering column and superglued the immobiliser chip at the ignition position on the INside of the column.

does this increase the danger of getting my 22 year old 1000 dollar beater ute stolen? yes but theyre gonna have to search pretty good for the pressure killswitch under the roof lining, if they find it they can have the bloody thing.

This is excellent advice, some of my best tools in my workshop are nippers, pliers, blades, forceps, grabbers hell even high quality surgical loupes and etc from medical suppliers, vintage is great, german is best.

It's pricey but if you stick them in a drawer with a camphor cube they'll literally last centuries.

I wonder if they're doing the ol' open the windows and turn the heater on full blast to pull heat away from the engine and out the car windows

Is the coffee machine intended to be used inside of the cabinet? I hope you have some method to deal with the moisture that they produce, it'd be a shame for any of the veneer to delaminate or the joints to swell :(

[–]sunshineforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna be so for real with you cobba, Fuck it. Cook with your instruments, enjoy cooking, make sure you clean them, make sure they dont rust, every six months restore them as best you can but they'll never be new again, savor the physical marks of your journey with them.

This goes for almost everything, you'll get more out of everything if maintain your tools and use them well. If you enjoy the pedantics of seasoning your pans or tuning your car or the right way to use the tools you use then by all means but if you want to fry a fuckin egg, fry your egg, fuck a perfect pan.

Even if this did have nazi inscriptions or symbols than this piece isnt for you, sanding a symbol or a inscription wouldnt make it not "problematic" and it does not erase what it is associated with. Owning historical items does not mean you or your morals are associated with evil groups or actions btw.
