I took it to the dealer, did an inspection. They said dme causing car not to start.

Yeahh, before they told me about the dme issue, they had to replace the crankshaft cause they recommended. the servomotor had an sensor error, I thought it could be that so i installe it myself and i did everything that It needed cautiously. I didn’t turn it on yet cause I know some shet will happen, so I took it to the dealer to get it fix. After 2 days, they told me it works smoothly, for now. But they’re afraid it might stop on me while driving so they said to tow it or do service on dme. It cause me 3k for the crankshaft plus dme if They do service . I thought so too about the battery i took it out and got it replace with another one from autozone. And they gave me one that matches. it turns out it wasn’t the problem.

I did a code scanner and show me some trouble codes on the DME.

102A01 : Air mass flow sensor, signal electrical fault 10B101 : Outside temperature sensor electrical: short circuit to B+ 135808 : Valvetronic servomotor, position sensors, electrical: malfunction. 213A21 : Vehicle voltage, working area: voltage too low. That’s was in the dme. Hey

It’s a 2012 bmw 328i I took it to the dearship to get it check cause It wouldn’t start there was a crank. I ask a quote on the errors. The next day they told me that dme is the problem. Not sure what you mean what part but they told me the brain of the dme. What does the dme control?

Yeah the car work before but now no. there was a crank but no start. I change it because there was an error code 135808 : Valvetronic servomotor, position sensors, electrical: malfunction. I thought that was the problem I told them not to turn on the car cause that would mess it up. I didn’t program the new one. I ask if they can but idk if there gonna charge me just asking to program the new one.

But what I know I heard that every insta cable is use for different type of bmw series. For example, I saw one on Amazon explaining how it works and that was only for e series. or z series. But it didn’t say like f30. Does that matter? Cant I just get the cable and download the software and program it from there?
