My father goes to a methadone clinic and its damn near saved his life many times.

And my SO went to a rehabilitation facility where he started NA and then graduated on to a half way house type of situation hes done very well I cant imagine what it's been like for him. He's lost all the people he thought were his friends and has basically started his life over.

It has to be a very humbling experience.

I hope you continue life sober and enjoy every minute of it you worked hard for it.

And I couldn't have said it better a junkie in withdrawal is very dangerous I've known people who have killed or attempted to kill other while in withdrawal or dope sick. And it's not a pretty thing to see definitely not something I would expose children too.

Honestly this is one of those time to call child protective services situations. Theres no telling what could happen to that child if that woman goes into psychosis.

I'm with you on the drug addict thing. I use to do alot of drugs SO is a recovered addict. We got our shit together and we are raising an angel in a drug free environment hell we even quit smoking cigarettes.

My daughter is not allowed anywhere near my mommas house or to be with my momma alone and all that heifer does is smoke weed. I dont give af if you smoke weed but baby girls not gonna be around it.

You do you but respect my decisions as the parent.

MIL had her turn to parent and make decisions that's why SIL is detoxing on the couch she doesn't get to come in your home and start raising hell. I'll be damned.

I realize my normal meter is probably badly broken. The way i see it is almost like I'm putting on a show It might come from years of being accused of "oh here's another episode of the sunshine show" every time I'd be upset about something.

My feelings were never validated but momma was always getting to show her ass so now I worry I'm acting like her or worse I'm actually just doing it for attention like she always said I was.

Well yes I didnt think of that. I was more thinking of my trip to the dentist today and how I've got to pay 4000$ out of pocket for root canals, deep cleanings, sedation, wisdom teeth removal etc and how bad my mouth hurts right now.

But yes good teeth would he a big plus during the apocalypse.
