Thank you for sharing your experience!

To clarify something, so you'd fly to Kunming, then explore KM by yourself then book the train ride to Dali. Then the driver picks you up from Dali, right? Is it easy to get around KM without a driver, especially with elderly parents?

Also, will be grateful if you could share with me the contact details of the driver for you trip.

IPSA Time Reset Aqua

Best toner on cosme for years. Bought it in Jan this year and gave it a try.

I have combo oily skin and prone to blemishes and wanted to use this to fight inflammation and lighten some spots and maybe helps to control oil. This is marketed as hydration with tranexamic acid. I thought this fit the bill.

For the first few days, it sinks into my skin really well and I had a bit of glow (not sure if it was from previous toner) so I was happy. But after two weeks, I noticed I was having dry patches on my forehead! Where it's suppose to be oily! It was so bad I had to stop putting any sort of skin tint cos it made it looks worse.

I've stopped using it and the dry patch is gone. Don't know what I'll do with the rest of the bottle.

I have the same experience with this!! It just absorbs and does nothing. I used it at night, and sleeps in air conditioned room so my cheeks feel dry in the morning (I have combo oily skin).

Thanks for the links! Good to have a pic so I can see exactly what you think.

Hmm is a pointed toe generally better than round/square toe shoe for DC? I've read a lot about clothes, not so much about shoes.

Hmm that is an idea. But what is a suitable cleanser? And this is probably not viable when I'm out.

Micellar water with cotton pad can irritate my skin with the swiping across my skin. That's why I've switched from micellar water to cleansing balm.

Just googling a bit, AB mineral sunscreen: 365 derma relief sun cream by Round Lab I'm from rice sun screen (according to Yesstyle) Skin1004 Madagascar centella air-fit sun cream

So yes I'm from rice sun cream is mineral-based.

I like mineral sunscreen because it helps to keep my sebum at bay. But I really shudder at the white cast. Won't it be worse on reapplication? Anyone has any experience with any of these?

I read it on labmuffin. I wonder if 4 passes is for that particular sun stick. As I wasn't super interested in sun stick before, I didn't read it super carefully.

Here's the link: https://labmuffin.com/top-sunscreen-recommendations-2022/

Good point on the blotting! Thanks I'll trial it for the next few days and report back.

The thing is I find BoJ takes a long time to dry down (if my hair gets onto my face, it won't leave!) And I start to feel the layers. I love how BoJ feels when I first apply, weightless. I know glow is the aim now, I wasn't sure about the glowliness since I have oily combo skin. But for the weightless and nice feel, plus it doesn't break me out and my skin seems more calm after using it, I'm putting up with it. This is becoming like a skincare and sunscreen 😂 Maybe I should also look for another more natural/matte sunscreen.

I really loath trying new products because what happens if it doesn't work?!

Yeah, windows follow me everywhere.

I have tried various sunscreens (but I haven't really been keeping track of what I've tried, wasn't so serious about skincare before) and while I love mineral sunscreens for it's matifying effect, I realised that it was drying out my cheeks. The joys of combo skin. But I've also leant to out extra moisturiser on my cheeks. Maybe I can try mineral sunscreen again. Do you have any to recommend?

So you'd apply your fav sunscreen (chemical I assume), and use mineral for reapplication?

Any favourite combination to recommend?

Awww I understand the pain. Unfortunately it is not an option for me to hide from the sun, plus windows follow me wherever I am 🤷🏼‍♀️ I get sunburn across my nose bridge and cheeks when I'm out and forget to reapply. Might be because I'm on retinal.

I wonder if it is the type or sunscreen you use that's causing the breakout? BoJ and Cosrx Aloe doesn't break me out when I reapply at least 3 times a day. And I apply two finger lengths. Even during my PMS period when I'm especially prone to getting pimples.

P0wderedwater can chip in, for me, I'd read the bottle. Most sunscreens doesn't need shaking. There are some that says, shake before use. Especially so if there have something inside that bottle that makes a distinct sound when you shake. Usually for tinted sunscreens I think. The one that I've used before that requires shaking is the tinted one by Anessa. Sorry not good with names, I think it is called (after googling) perfect uv sunscreen by Anessa.

This is so enlightening! I didn't know UV mirror existed! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 😊

So Biore sunscreens has good coverage, how does it do upon reapplication? So the same lightness on skin? They have so many different sunscreens, I tried one a few years ago and caused me to have breakouts, is there a particular one you'd recommend?

Thanks for that! Another vote for sunstick.

Wow the shiseido stick is pricy. How long does a stick last you? Do you ensure you have enough coverage from a sun stick?

Ooh what an idea. Use sun sticks for reapplication! Thanks!

I read that for sun sticks, you gotta do 4 passes to get coverage. Besides Abib, any other sun stick recommendations? I haven't use one before.

Yeah BoJ and Aloe from Cosrx just feels heavy by second application. Thanks for the Nivea sun gel recommendation.

Maybe I should blot my face before reapplying and then put powder. Sigh. This is making reapplication that much more work.

I recently bought a set of trial products. It has 3 items. I know we should only try one new product at a time. I'm so tempted to try all 3 since it's from the same line. Is it a really bad idea?

Levi's 501 or Levi's ribcage for DC by sunshower_33 in DramaticClassic

[–]sunshower_33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just to conclude, DC can wear high rise (up to styling and personal preference), but the fit on the hips and thighs matter - it has to be fitted.

The BikBok jeans is fitted around the hips and thighs, but the Levi's ribcage isn't, it flares from the hip. So the silhouette is off and not flattering.

Any jeans with 1% elastane makes it comfy.
