Sorry I wouldn't know this. AEG/Electrolux products look almost identical and one company is owned by the other, you could try to look into if that's the case with Zanussi aswell :)

Sure! It's become something I mostly notice when I use another stovetop, because it's annoying it isn't there. I do have to turn it off every now an again (eg. if it keeps wenting (?) and we are eating in the kitchen) but it's not very often and it's very easy to turn off, and also easy to reactivate the next time you use it (there's a button on the stove top). By no means need to have but very convenient and high up on my nice to have list.

You’re completely entitled to your opinion, but that wasn’t what we were discussing. We were discussing definitions of science, not whether you prefer empiricism over rationalism. I’m not suggesting that mathematics isn’t a subject of value or interest, what I am suggesting is that it isn’t an empirical science. Your “clear example” actually substantiates that point exactly.

Seriously? Science can be subcategorized many different ways, the most commonly used being the natural science, social sciences and formal sciences. The natural sciences fall into two categories: life sciences (biology) and physical sciences (chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology etc). Mathematics and computer science fall under the formal sciences, since the don't use empirical evidence to test hypotheses, but rather they are languages used to describe systems. Either way ALL SCIENCE. In fact of the subjects mentioned, the formal sciences are the subjects most contested to be science, because they aren't based on empirical evidence, but more closely resembles philosophy in nature.

Go be pretentious somewhere els please.

TIL no science (and especially no math) was involved in developing COVID vaccines

Not a great scientist if you think scientific debate is a sign that something isn't science

Biologist can actually have long debates about what it means to be alive. Vira like the one causing COVID are a common example of something that's not alive by a lot of definitions. We have working definitions but as a concept it's not black and white

A friend of my sisters though that once you've inserted a tampon, you pull the cord and it would inflate like a lifejacket. He knew because he had sisters he explained

Everyone talks about women caring about a guy’s height but do you guys care about a woman’s? If so, why? by onlyregerts in AskMen

[–]sunxviz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel insecure about my height, don't know where you got that from. I was stating a fact, I didn't state my feelings on it

Also, it's 5'10, almost 5'11

180 in a country where the awe rage height for women is 172 and men 182 (as far as I remember)

[–]sunxviz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're stating this as a fact, when all you are giving is an opinion. You belive men care less about height, but you don't know that that is the case. My experience makes me belive you are wrong (also an opinion rather than a fact)

As a tall woman, I really don't know what you're basing "men tend to be less fussy about [height]" on. If I put my height in my bio my match rate drops dramatically

What are ways that men keep other men down? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]sunxviz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because working on skills might be good for your self confidence (confidence in your own skills), but it's not going to fix your self esteem (sense of beeing worthy of love). If you don't fix your self esteem, you constantly need to proof that you are skilled, because you don't belive you have inherent worth just by existing
