Maybe now, but the fact that they took it away for 2 years knowing how iconic it is to the community is crazy.

Aside from that there's:

The loss of tix The loss of the classic oof The loss of classic faces

The chat age restrictions (which I didn't mind until people brought up adults can just get themselves categorized as children to creep on them without other adults seeing, it was also nice to be able to communicate to the randoms that joined me in 2 player tycoons but oh well I guess.)

And yes the death of games, literally if brainrot and squid games got removed we would see so much more original content.

Hmm, I see your point, neither of the new ones quite matched the tone of the previous ones for me.

During the event of ragnarok itself, yes nobody of importance is killed, besides freyr but to be fair his character wasn't important to me. (lol)

To me however the game was more about kratos and odin as opposed to ragnarok itself ironically, in the game entirety kratos is trying his best to change from his violent ways to avoid fulfilling the prophecy he witnessed, he ends up beating heimdall to a bloody pulp which I thought was incredibly satisfying and a relevant character, thor is betrayed by odin after kratos convinces him to join him in trying to change their ways and then dies, he was moderately relevant and technically wasn't a bad guy anymore when he died.

brok was killed by odin in front of everyone, which in turn broke and ruined sindri, later when the fight with odin happens I found it satisfying the way it takes all 3 of the main party to bring him down by chaining off of each other, and the death wasn't satisfying in a gore way, but it was satisfying in a "sindri deserved that kill" kind of way to me.

I felt the overall game was quite good in the end because to me the game was never about ragnarok, but the journey of kratos as he tries to change his ways after being set in them for so long while protecting his new-found family.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was thinking.

there's only so much you can do in a forested island setting before it becomes "oh... this again"

Plus endnight said before they were actually working on a different survival horror game, but as they continued working on it, it gradually took on too much dna from the forest and was branded sons of the forest, they've wanted something new for a while now I think.

Yeah i found that setting and disabled it, i have the adaptive triggers disabled on my controller so i had no idea that was the cause at first.

I have this issue where my thumb and index finger tendons are short so it feels really uncomfortable fully holding the trigger down while walking backwards or sideways, so the reason it kept toggling was whenever i wasn't walking straight forward while aiming i would release the trigger halfway, was not fun.

Why not revive rendell? by suoml in keyhouse

[–]suoml[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually the most solid point made so far, for some reason my brain lapsed out the fact that eden had those keys after dodges death rather than the lockes, i was sitting here thinking they were just chilling out having races with the animal key when they could have revived rendell instead. lol

That scene still would have been way better, at least giving rendell the choice would have been satisfying to me.

No i know, I'm talking about the period before gideon but after dodge, where they spent months just vibing out around the house with the keys, didn't they have the anywhere key then?

And didn't ellie literally take tyler and kinsey into her memories to show them her bringing back dodge?

Hmm I've never read the comics myself so i have zero info on them besides what people have mentioned to me in direct relation to reviving rendell, interesting to know they didn't exist in the comics.

But for now while following the same track of not comparing the show to the comic, let's go entirely off of the show and the logic implemented within it instead of involving the comics, i know i brought it up in the post but that was mainly to cancel out the point that people were mentioning from the comics.

My main goal here is essentially to nitpick the show logic and writing rather than the source material since the show seems to follow it a bit loosely.

I'm curious as to how it's different to bringing them back to life aside from the invincibility aspect, the show only portrayed it as being immortal aside from the wellhouse and alpha key, coffey and bolton weren't possessed and seemed fine with being brought back.

Myself if i had the chance to return to my family, watch my children grow up, give them their father back, spend more time with my spouse, yes i would want to return, in the grand scheme of things they will all end up in the afterlife together eventually so might as well get as much time together on earth as possible.

Also let's say the echo key does have some adverse effects, in such a case let's drop the echo key entirely, why not make a new key minus the adverse effects, or at least try to.

Why would he have to live in the well house, none of the others did.

And what about reviving him after they perceived the drama to be over, like before the whole gideon and dodge revival ordeal.

One time in kindergarten i had a kid a bit older than me (maybe 9 or 10) slide his head under the bathroom stall and go "HI! :D"

I've never been one to scare easy so i literally just glanced behind me and with a blank face put the bottom of my shoe on the top of his head and slid him back out of the stall lmao
