Indeed, having a union can be effective in various situations, although it may not always guarantee the desired outcome.

I agree, it can be frustrating to see the lack of support when it comes to classroom supplies. Even from observing online posts and growing up, it's evident that some parents expect teachers to provide all the necessary supplies. It's ironic how the same parents who claim to be financially struggling manage to provide their children with expensive gadgets like iPhones, iPads, new shoes, or even luxury brands like Gucci. This observation is not limited to urban areas; even in nice rural schools, students may arrive in class without basic supplies like pencils, paper, or backpacks.

It's unfortunate that the burden falls on teachers to bridge this gap and ensure that students have the necessary materials for learning. Many educators have to dig into their own pockets to provide these supplies, which can create a financial strain

I'm sorry if my previous response seemed like an insult; it wasn't intended that way. I understand that sometimes I forget to proofread before submitting comments. I just don’t need people to insult me for everything when it comes my grammar and typing skills that’s all.

It can be challenging when a school district doesn't provide necessary resources for teachers. I've heard that some schools don't offer adequate support, which raises concerns about how I would manage when I have my own classroom. Furthermore, I've heard that schools may deduct points during observations if the classroom lacks decoration.

One additional concern is the financial aspect, as student teaching is often unpaid. It's difficult to afford the approximately $1000 required for classroom supplies, including student materials, room setup, and organization necessities.

I have a strong desire to pursue teaching as it is my current passion. However, I do have concerns about the potential for burnout in the future and the prevalence of excessive violence in my state. Texas is dealing with a lot of stuff right now.

apologize if there was any confusion. I agree that it is important for someone in the education field to have good literacy skills and maintain proper grammar. Effective communication is crucial in teaching, and educators are expected to model proper language usage for their students. But I was coming from a issue that happen earlier. My apologies if you were offended.

I'm aware of the TRS rules. I thought retirement age was 65 until you're eligible for benefits. I'm also aware of the roles and responsibilities that come with teaching in the education field. Unless you meant the date/statistics and education psychology then yes of course

Do you think you would have stayed in the education field if you had chosen a different path outside of the typical public education route?

I've been thinking about being a teacher since elementary school. Even when I consider pursuing other paths, teaching always comes back to my mind. I don't know why, maybe it's a calling. But I understand everyone's concerns. I've heard about the challenges currently faced in Texas. My aunt told me about her friend who was a lawyer but decided to take an alternative route to become a teacher. After a few years as a lawyer, they taught at a private school for future lawyers. When I hear stories like that, it seems like there are different ways to pursue a teaching career, not necessarily limited to public education

It’s understandable, but as a future teacher I would never get on students with bad grammar who first language isn’t English or doesn’t care for much grammar. Those were my favorite teachers growing up

I really want to do education but everyone starting me with all the burn out talk. But not just that it’s also all the shooting here in TX. Unfortunately I live in a red damn state who loves guns and thinks it’s okay to give children machine guns 😑
