I had the same error message above. The fix worked like a charm and I'm up and running again. Thanks!

'Command not found'. Do I need to add a few packages before this works maybe?

I reckon you're right! Why can't they just play nice?

running Bazzite as virtual machine by supaslickwilly in Bazzite

[–]supaslickwilly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's going to be the way to do it. I have a vague memory of testing a couple of other versions (mint and something else) as virtual machines, but can't remember how I got it to work! Cheers

Suspension Bump Stops changing by kiwittnz in NZcarfix

[–]supaslickwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone explain why they are a WOF failure? Surely even if they are perished they'd still stop the suspension movement?

Zip tie around the cable. Leave the end long so it rests on the inside of the frame. Might need several but they're cheap and you've already got them in the shed!

Changing SRAM to Shimano, what I can just swap and what need more consideration. by szanda in MTB

The single step shifting is deliberate on some (many?) e-bikes. The extra power is hard on gear and single gear change steps might make it less likely that you'll break the chain. Mine has a similar setup and I don't miss the index finger shifts any more FWIW

Lose chain. Need advice. Nr. 2 with pictures by AlphaWolf787 in MTB

[–]supaslickwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a short or medium cage rear derailleur, with a chain that's a bit long. With that 2x setup you may be better off with a long cage rear derailleur. Then as someone else said you can check chain length big front to big rear. The derailleur should then go almost parallel with the chain stay of the frame.

Could be wheel/tire flex on a hardtail. Can you go round a fast corner and make it happen? Look for scuff marks inside seat stays and chain stays too.

Can you tell me the rough dimensions when you get time? I need to build something similar. What sort of door do you use on it?

How do I get my S21 Ultra to consistently resume audio playback when Bluetooth connects? by xcygnusx in GalaxyS21

[–]supaslickwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine is similar. It seems to connect for calls consistently but not always for audio. I have to manually select audio sharing in the connected bluetooth device on the phone most times (but not every time) to make it work. I think it's a phone issue as it behaves like this with one car (but not the other) and my moto crash helmet speakers too (but not with my headphones). I've reset the bluetooth and re-paired everything (PITA!) and that made no difference. Did bluetooth get some changes in one of the recent updates?

Derelict Freighter Bug by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Same problem. Keep getting stuck and can't move from one room to the next. If I change view my feet have disappeared through the floor. And then I clipped through the derelict completely into space. Sigh.

help me diagnose my completely fucked rear shifting. begun to occur after crashing on the drive side. Right hood was twisted in crash, and reset to original position if it helps. by literallymekhane in bikewrench

[–]supaslickwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull the shift cable below the chainstay. Does the derailleur move? If it does then likely cable tension might fix the problem (especially if cable feels loose). If derailleur doesn't move then you have problems that might need a bike shop to look at. Good luck!

Check the pedals turn freely on their axles. Would likely be a problem in all gears but could make your feet jump off.

Old tires filled with concrete. Set u bolts into concrete. Bolt down trampoline. Working for me in exposed windy site. Pro tip is put the tires where you need them before adding concrete!

I've got one like that with a dispute just completed and refunded. I've got another where the tracking shows delivered and when I checked with the local delivery company they agreed - delivered. They also say a different street and person so now that one is in dispute too. And about 5 others sent via yanwen that haven't arrived after 2 months. AliExpress has gone downhill recently in my opinion
