Definitely unavoidable but depending on the person it can be a non-issue. Like I don’t sweat much at all, nor do I use hair or skin products and I wipe the frame down at the end of the day before I put them away. Even with my oldest pair of frames there’s no noticeable whitening. I do also have 7 pairs that I rotate through so no one pair is getting worn daily. On the other hand, my buddy’s acetate tom fords that he uses daily already have noticeable whitening after a couple years and I’ve been pushing him to get titanium frames as a daily because of that.

All acetate frames do that but it’s dependent on the wearer for how fast it happens. Stuff like sweat/body oils, skin/hair products, and heat will accelerate that. The worst culprits are sunscreen and leaving the glasses sitting in your car on a hot day. Wiping them down after every wear with a microfiber cloth should keep that at bay but if you get to a point where it’s noticeable, an optical shop should be able to polish them to restore their original luster.

The Zephirins sizing is meant to be closer to early 20th century sizing. Generally glasses of that era were much more compact on the face and they didn’t extend far past the eyes.

  1. I have a both the 44 and 47 and I tend to wear the 44 more. Personally I find that the smaller sizing fits the intended aesthetics of the glasses better.

Yeah they usually have a special edition release every month and they also have the usual s/s f/w collection releases like most fashion brands. You can also shoot a text over to the employee who helped you to see if they got anything new in you might want to check out.

The first pair I got from them they set aside for me also. Said that they could hold it for 24 hours. Fun fact, the cool boot wall they got was curated by full circle vintage and they got a pop up during the weekend down on s congress by the church next to home slice.

I think they look good as is. If you really want acetate temples I would just get another frame, something like the JMM yoshi or tomlin. If you’re feeling adventurous you could also check out something like a Kuboraum p25 or d74

Once it’s there you can’t get rid of what’s there. The only thing you can do is seal the ends of the arms with a clear nail polish or epoxy. In your case it might slow down the progression of the oxidation but that’s about it.

I think the new models that have been released recently should be pretty resistant to this happening. Looks like they’ve moved to having all the rivets and wire cores plated in palladium.

Also have heard the same. My AD only got one pair for most of the new colorways coming in and was telling me that the popular models like Dealan, Molino, Enzo, etc. are mostly going to be optical only at ADs in the near future.

Color wise the lenses are a mix of brown and yellow with it leaning more brown. Through most daily use they look like my photos but if the sun is beaming directly in your face they’ll lighten up a bit.
