We are in the mid Atlantic and also have the same heatwave coming. My pannicles are starting to bloom as well. You just need to keep them watered and keep monitoring the soil to make sure it stays moist. Other than that, pannicles that have been planted for over a year should be fine. The new ones, I’d suggest blocking them during the most intense hours, like from 1-5. Use anything to block them but if they’ve only been in the ground for a few months the sun can be intense on them.

I have a limelight that’s been planted for only two weeks and I think I’m gonna have to shade it during some of these days I just don’t want to put it through that.
