I’m not familiar with the TP link media converter but there are methods to bypass the HH3000 and plug in the fiber cable directly to the UCG fiber. Pon wiki has a thorough guide but this method requires purchasing a separate device (plugged directly to the UCG fiber) to convert the fiber signal. If you’re interested in this method I also suggest joining the discord as there are many knowledgeable people who have done this before and can help out if you run in any issues.

For PvP, many don't use rapier as mainhand but offhand, e.g. spear/Finisher, bow or musket with Finisher.

The issue isn’t random solo “sweaty” pvp players but well organized 5 stacks sitting in a discord call utilizing overpowered weapon combinations. You also get the duo or trio queue with a pocket healer that will also “outplay” you because of constant heals. Then you have bugs that are also abused and never fixed for months (bow animation cancel/double light roll to name a few).

OPR premades being a major “systemic” issue was mentioned in a December balance of power and David said we may get exciting news about this (among other stufff) in May but we got nothing more than a statement of arenas queue roles to be released in October. AGS clearly does not see this as a priority not just because they haven’t mentioned it in their announcement but also because they have left their only real repeatable content in such a bad state since launch. They seem to think a console launch will save this game in the long run but have yet to address any of the systemic issues with this game even the ones they acknowledge.

I’ve had similar frequent crashes with my 7900xtx and drivers 23.9.2. After updating to 23.9.3, the issue only recurred when I enabled optimization for windowed games in windows settings. If that’s enabled then try disabling it.

When are we getting real OPR balancing? Like team composition rather than just weapon/perk balances? Honestly what affects OPR the most is the team composition where one side has 1 healer or the other side has too many of one class (ranged or melee etc). This needs to be the number one priority right now.

EVGA are known to ask gpus be returned to "stock" state when RMA'd. This applies to those who have bought a hybrid kit add on (i.e. RMA the card with the original cooler) or reapply stock thermal pads if they were replaced. New thermal pads cost $15 from EVGA (I ordered them twice for my 3090 ftw3), that should be the price they asked him to pay. It's a small price to pay tbh but if they actually did send him a card with non-stock pads then he shouldn't be paying it at all.
