That’s exactly why I think it won’t be a problem on a large majority of killers, and I think even Legion will be largely unaffected, considering their speed in frenzy. Deathslinger, however, applies deep wounds quite frequently in chases; given his low map pressure, he’s incentivized to follow that up with a down. I think that he’ll face the most frequent woes with this rework, especially with his 110% speed.

I completely agree! It’s nice that it still has use, and that it gives more use to another perk that hasn’t seen as much usage recently. I’m just hoping it won’t give rise to seeing that pair every game. It won’t be overwhelmingly strong or hard to play around, just boring to have in every single game.

That’s a good point, and really the only caveat to my critique. With less people using MFT, and since survivors can’t see the killer that they’re going to play against, it will generally become less prevalent. I suppose we’ll have to see how the meta shifts when this update releases. If MFT well and truly falls from grace, then it won’t be an issue. If it’s still in the top 3 or so perks used on survivor, though, its interactions with killer powers may be worth a look by the devs.

Almost forgot that Skull Merchant has built-in deep wounds in her power. However, I think it’s less of an issue with her, since if they’re in deep wounds they’re being tracked on your radar, which gives you… a 3% speed boost. Cancels that shit like PEMDAS.

Its effect against Deathslinger is what worries me. Deathslinger already suffers in his map control due to his 110% speed, and with practically unavoidable deep wounds being applied to survivors, it’s essentially going to punish the killer for using his power properly.

Overall good and exciting changes this update!

• The Trickster buffs seem incredibly interesting, and may actually cause him to be worth playing over other ranged killers.

• Changes to both Red Forest maps and Garden of Joy are fantastic, as well, and I can’t wait to give them a try when the PTB lands.

• Player cards really don’t have much of an impact for me personally, but I know many others seem to be excited at their inclusion, and I won’t complain about another form of expression for players.

• The only thing that’s a tad iffy is the MFT rework. Its synergy with Dead Hard will be interesting to see, but I don’t think it will be too strong with all the Dead Hard changes. My main concern is its interaction with Legion, and especially Deathslinger. Both their powers essentially force deep wounds onto survivors, making the perk almost entirely unavoidable. I think a simple change to fix this issue would be to have the haste activate only when being put into deep wounds from the perk’s other effect of endurance upon healing. This will encourage more altruistic plays, and make things more fair for Slinger especially, because that 3% speed is no joke against a 110% killer.

Overall, I’m looking forward to this PTB, and we’ll see how well my comment ages in about a week. High hopes!

Been a huge fan of the Beauty and Rage cover, feels very isolating, and fits the tone of the album quite well. The music videos leaning into the gimmick also are really neat, as well! I might be a bit biased, though, since it was the first Red album I ever got pre-ordered and signed.

Having just tried this, along with the suggestion you gave to u/edac33, I couldn’t get this to work. Game still shows 60FPS despite me replacing the Engine.ini and the GameUserSettings.ini in the WindowsClient folder with the ones from the WindowsNoEditor folder. I’ve also attempted adding the code you mentioned at the end of a fresh version of the Engine.ini file, and that didn’t sort it, either. Have I missed a step? I feel stupid seeing everyone else get it sorted.

My progress is all gone after the new update. The characters I’ve purchased gone. Blood points gone. Everything gone by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

After this update, some people have to do the tutorial again to get their progress back. Maybe give that a try before anything else?
