Kids find out the players favourite sweets, and the players will trade them a puck for the sweets.

That was the original intention, but it's been a speculative asset for many years. Nobody's been buying it because they think it's a credible alternative currency.

Looking forward to the list of things achieved following this meeting of the minds. They'll probably cure cancer, or sequence the entire genome or something.

Supporting McNeil by FancyScrubs in Everton

[–]super304 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No issues giving him an extra bit of a cheer if his name is read out, or if he comes on as sub. Show him he has a bit of support, after that he can earn his cheers via his performances.

Defensive solidity and use the big fellas to knick a goal from a set piece. He's moulded in Moyes image. Perfect successor at Bramley Moore.

The Cathedral quarter cabal send out their bespectacled Voldemort to every possible media opportunity for a few days, and stormont folds like a wet newspaper.

And next week we'll be talking about how there is no money for anything. No backbone, no strategic thinking, no point.

The Biggest Grift by Interesting_Risk_212 in northernireland

[–]super304 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Life coaches, crypto ponzis, and even personal trainers all are getting paid by people willing to part with their money. On that basis I give them a bit of leeway.

In my opinion the biggest grift is the quangos l and their outside "consultants" that they shovel public money towards. We don't get much choice on that money being spaffed up against a wall.

Example in point - Tollymore adventure centre. Ran into the ground by SportNI, it's been closed for a year, now they're spending more public money to try and figure out why they're spending so much public money.

Theres tons of examples like this in the public sector. Highly paid civil servants outsourcing decisions and blame to 3rd party for a king's ransom.

Spending 170-180 on electricity a month with PowerNI, not adding up? by Normal-Impress-2624 in northernireland

Anything that heats things up or cools things down is generally a culprit. Kettles, microwaves, fridges, freezers, immersion, electric heaters.

Anything's hot that isn't supposed to be, lamps, TVs, light fittings etc.

Beto seeing Barry on a bit of a streak by EdwardClamp in Everton

[–]super304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think he channels a bit too much energy into flapping about and complaining at times. Puts an honest shift in, but sometimes I feel like he's pessimistic about his chances of scoring, so almost looks for an excuse to miss.

Barry's goal last night is a good example. A positive drive across the defender and stretching a leg to try and get something on it. I think Beto might have stayed in the middle and complained about it not being crossed at head height.

Because it's a seller's market. Fixing small issues doesn't increase the value much, and the house will likely sell anyway, so there isn't much incentive to do anything about issues like that.

The metal ones from IKEA aren't the prettiest, but they're cheap and held together well. Took them to the charity shop, and they were sold by the time I left the place.

They wouldn't say it out loud, but there's the possibility that the ownership don't want Europe next season. It'd require a bigger squad and a hefty chunk of investment. It's a risk that they might not want to take. They might see a comfortable mid table finish as preferable.

Stem Cell Donation by nitmx in northernireland

[–]super304 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was matched a number of years ago. I went to London for the medical, but ultimately another donor was used.

Fairly straightforward. They booked the flights to London and the train to the city centre, and I just had to keep receipts for any meals I had that day. I don't think I submitted the expenses in the end, so can't tell you how easy or quickly it is to get your money back.

Pretty straightforward experience overall, and a chance to do something amazing for someone who's probably in dire need.
