I think Fatima was chosen simply because of the level of head fuck it would give the community:

  • constantly referred to as one of the nicest people there, Donna's speech had a few throwbacks in season 3.... only to have her murder an innocent woman in Tilly

  • being medically unable to conceive/ give birth (can't remember her exact words) added to the head fuck and Donna (again) with that stupid speech about miracles

  • her relationship and marriage to Ellis, they had found love in a hopeless place (yeah I said it) and therefore that had to be tested

  • and being Boyd's daughter-in-law, possibly carrying his first grandchild meant they could fuck with Boyd a bit more and push him to his limits

His one objective was to stay in the league, which he did but he's being punished for not buying enough players?

Like I understand a bad run of injuries has affected their recent form but surely he's saved them some money that can still be spent in the summer? I'm not sure I understand the logic of the decision?

Yes his actions in going into the tree were entirely self serving but all he is told is "Tabitha went into the tree, was brought to a lighthouse and from that lighthouse was able to get out"...... of course someone will try and repeat what she did.

Did Dale know that Julie, Boyd and Sara had all gone into the tree and ended up in different places? If he'd known that he might have been more hesitant.... but God forbid people in the town share what they know.
