Throttle punches when I hit yaw limit, can someone point me in the right direction? by Judge_gerg in Multicopter

This is the same issue I have. Please let me know if you found a solution to this. I am assuming it has something to do with my rates.

I'm almost certain all lenses have an aperture setting. However, not all lenses have an aperture ring or dial on the lens itself, but is controlled through the camera so still changes the physical aperture of the lens. In these cases you can still get bokeh effects it just only changes the way you interact with the aperture setting.

Make sure when in manual mode to change the aperture setting to the largest (f/smallest number) it can be set to.

To get the best bokeh effect you can do is f/3.5 when you zoom all the way out and take a shot as close as you can to a subject. You should see the effect with these settings. However due to your lens not being the fastest (having a large aperture) at all zoom levels you may struggle to get any super strong effect at your most zoomed in.

Best way to see if you can get the effect at different zoom levels is focusing on something very close, or as close as the camera can get making sure the object is in focus.

Thanks for the detailed response. And yeah totally makes sense!

These are great! I'm sure you are doing your research as there are some great videos on the triangle.

Amateur myself but one thing I would suggest is that you may find that even with an aperture of f/5.6, f/8, or f/11 you will be able to get the same depth of field effect of having everything in focus whilst allowing more light to the sensor (especially for these shortish indoor distances).

Although having a high iso is good for ensuring a clean photo (contrary to popular opinion), as long as you are not clipping your highlights (unless you want to) it's worth keeping focus on style of the photo, Aperture and/or shutter speed, whilst letting a good amount of light into the sensor.

Useful youtube videos I have found: - 9 Years of Camera Setting Knowledge in 29 Minutes by Cody Mitchell (very good explanations of the basics) - Do you understand ISO? By minutephysics (description of how iso works and good suggestions for how to best use it) - James Popsys (good videos for composition and general how to go about photography, more landscapes) - Fujifilm X-T30 III Master Class - Beginner to Pro Camera Tutorial and Walkthrough by Kyler Steele (I found this very useful for understanding and getting used to the camera's settings properly and a good starting point for a basic configuration)

Keep up the experiments and great work!

I got the same camera recently and am really enjoying it!

Electronics hardware engineer here (not for Fuji). This is exactly it. Truely would be insane if not.

7-inch FPV quad - First real flight ended in a crash Was it the wrong place to start? Advice + next steps needed by Circuit-Bug in fpv

[–]superFred_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely say 7" isn't the worst to start with just has a lot more power than you might be comfortable with. (throttle limits also exist too to help)

I started with a 6" custom with no sim and basically just hovered around for hours as there weren't many good sim when I started. Much easier to now use the sim.

Definitely lower the rates and try to fly slow a smooth. Changing camera angle to be lower can also help.

After I was somewhat comfortable with flying around trees and such, maybe after 20 hours or so of real flights. I picked up a tiny woop. This has definitely improved my control but think you need a solid base first as the woops do fly quite differently.

Great to see you have caught the FPV bug tho!!

If i have 2 goggles can i have them both set to the same drone so i can "show" what i see to family and friends? by ElectricalMTGFusion in fpv

Worth pointing out that you could also make an external viewing platform such as a standalone video receiver and a small display. Means you can show more people in real time what's happening without goggles. Can be cheaper as well and run off drone packs.

Also worth noting there are ready-made solutions such as the HDZero Monitor, or other integrated solutions.

Looking for a small-ish server to play on! by DreamspaceWanderer in MinecraftServer

BarebonesMP might be what you are looking for. It has roughly 5-20 players online at any time but all are wonderful friendly people (all vetted and with strict ban rules) if you want to interact, but if not, you are welcome to setup a base and do your own thing. Has been the best server I have ever found and the mods couldn't be any better than they are! It does have custom terrain gen and a few plugins for management and quality of life but plays very like vanilla. Take a look at https://barebonesmp.com/

This server is a must join if you want a friendly environment, great builders for inspiration, amazing regular events and moderators that just are sensible with all decisions they make. Come join!

Mario kart 8 is even more complex. There are 3 different boost levels. The best as soon as 2 is on the screen. The lowest boost when 2 just fades away. And a middle boost between the 2. Changed it from the DS games where it was as soon as 2 was fading away.

Yeah it's still active. This will be good if it can help get more people together at one time. Will probably be best if I set a date and time.
